The Internal Revenue Service will start processing tax returns on Monday, Jan. 26. You don’t have to wait until that date to submit your return, but it won’t be processed by IRS until that date.

Corporate Transparency Act, starting Jan. 1, 2024, all companies created in the United States must complete a new form with the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, commonly known as FinCEN.

The new rule requires Small Businesses and LLCs to Report Ownership Information to identify those who directly or indirectly own or control the company. The purpose is to make it harder for bad actors to hide or benefit from their ill-gotten gains through shell companies or other opaque ownership structures. We have a couple of changes this year that we wanted to share. This year Thompson's Financial Enterprise will be unable to offer bank product services. Payments will be due at the time of service. We apologize for any inconvenience this will cause and look forward to working with you during this tax season.

Our office will begin processing tax returns on February 3rd. Please schedule your appointments today, if you haven't already, as time slots are filling fast. We thank you for your continued confidence in us!!!
