🏠💚 Building homes. Building community. Building stronger teams.

Last week, members of our Security Federal Bank Midlands team traded their desks for a build site and rolled up their sleeves for a special Habitat for Humanity Build Day!

Our employees volunteered their time to help with the construction of two adjacent homes in the Midlands, working alongside Habitat for Humanity to support its mission and make a meaningful difference for local families.

As a local community bank, being part of the communities we serve means more to us than simply doing business here. It means showing up, lending a hand and investing our time and energy into making our communities stronger. 💚

We are incredibly proud of our Midlands employees who stepped up to volunteer! And while the work accomplished on the homes was certainly the most important part of the day, we also loved seeing our team working side by side, getting to know coworkers from across our Midlands market and strengthening the relationships that make SFB's culture so special.

A great day of service, teamwork and community — and plenty of smiles along the way! 🛠️🏠

In-school banking is rolling, and our SFB team is excited to be back in area schools helping young savers learn the importance of building good financial habits early. Through hands-on financial education, regular opportunities to save, and our fun 2026–2027 Activities & Promotions, we’re making learning about money something students can look forward to!

As we wrap up Community Banking Month, our Ballentine Branch is celebrating what community banking is all about—showing up for the people who make our communities such special places to call home.

As part of their Celebrating Community Month activities, the Ballentine team signed coolers, filled them with ice-cold refreshments and plenty of SFB swag, and delivered them to our local heroes at the Irmo and Chapin Fire Departments. 🚒

It was a simple way to say THANK YOU to the men and women who serve, protect and care for our communities each and every day.

Today is Security Federal Bank Spirit Day, and our team is showing just how proud we are to be SFB!

Spirit Day is one of many activities planned throughout the year by our Employee Culture Club, a group dedicated to celebrating the people who make SFB such a special place to work. With team members and branches stretching from the CSRA to the Midlands, these activities give us even more opportunities to connect, have a little fun and build relationships with coworkers across our markets.

One of our favorite annual traditions is Project Serve with United Way of the CSRA! 💚Following the 2026 Campaign Kick-off Breakfast, members of the Security Federal Bank team rolled up their sleeves and headed into the community to put service into action.

Each year, Project Serve brings volunteers together across the CSRA to tackle hands-on projects for local organizations and neighbors in need. From painting and cleaning to landscaping, installing items and lending a hand wherever it’s needed, our employees were proud to donate their time and energy to make a difference.

We look forward to this event every year because it represents so much of what community banking is all about—showing up, working together and investing in the communities we call home.

A little friendly competition never hurts—especially when there’s a trophy and bragging rights on the line! 😄

Congratulations to Josh Booth, SVP – Mortgage Loan Originator, who was presented with our Mortgage Loan Department MVP Trophy by John Girardeau, EVP – Mortgage Lending, after winning the department’s Q2 Origination Race!

The competition tracks quarterly mortgage production along with year-to-date results, and Josh has now taken the top spot for both the first AND second quarters of 2026!
