At Nelson Insurance Agency, part of the Ohio Insurance & Financial Services (OIFS) family, we're proud to recognize Sarah Shope, a member of our OIFS team, for launching an exciting new community initiative called Altered Perspectives!

Inspired by her own family's experiences and more than 26 years of navigating special education and disability advocacy, Sarah is creating a welcoming space where individuals with disabilities, families, caregivers, and community members can come together to share experiences, learn from one another, and build meaningful connections.

Sarah has long been passionate about supporting the disability community, including founding an annual Autism Awareness Month fundraiser that OIFS has proudly supported since 2020.

Now, she's taking that commitment one step further!

JT McCullough, Ryan August, Lorena Fuentes, Shawna Moore, and Brenda Siegel represented Ohio Insurance & Financial Services, LLC, taking advantage of the opportunity to connect with industry professionals, expand their knowledge, and stay current on the evolving insurance landscape.

We’re especially proud to have strong expertise across our team, including two agents (JT & Ryan) who specialize in farm and agricultural insurance. Yesterday, Ohio Insurance & Financial Services (OIFS) celebrated 50 years in business—and, of course, the rain poured down during our outdoor event. With water beginning to collect everywhere, it somehow seemed fitting for an insurance company!

The weather also offered a perfect reminder of how we reached this milestone. Through every challenge, we have continued to move forward because of our hardworking employees, loyal clients, and the relationships and friendships we have built along the way. Much like our founder, Gary Nelson, we always try to find the positive in every situation—even a rain-soaked anniversary celebration.

Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and stopped by to congratulate our organization. Your support made the celebration incredibly meaningful.
