Partners for Vulnerable Children (PVC) works with school communities, local government and other stakeholders, especially non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to foster learning, counselling and guidance to children. PVC believes that children should be able to complete the primary cycle of education and achieve functional levels of literacy. A uniform for example may seem like a common dress for
all students in a particular school, but in effect it affected self esteem. The lack of it or being dressed in rags affected the child’s entire attitude. It affected discipline as well as community policing of children for their own safety, given the rampant child abuses and child sacrifice. PVC will assist mitigate the negative effect of lack of uniforms and support especially the orphans and children from dire need families. The interventions require community collaboration and school administrations. We will require to arrange sensitization programs among other things to solve unsolved problems innovatively. We appeal for financial support from institutions and persons of good will to alleviate the gloomy situation and give hope to these children.
