While the continent was introduced to the idea of going digital and cashless, our visionaries acted upon it and their collective thoughts eventually took shape as Pebuu Africa in the year January 2016. Three words that best describe us are – versatility, security, and growth. Ours is a fast-growing continent and we believe in walking a step ahead always.
We are the most preferred brand for Payments, Recharge, Money Transfers, Travel and Ticketing Services in Uganda and we are working towards a Pan-African presence.
A business venture with a social edge, we are a technology driven payment and financial solutions provider, largely catering to the needs of domestic migrants and the unbanked population as we work towards supporting and empowering cashless communities. The advent of Pebuu and access to its services has revolutionized inaccessible, tedious tasks such as utility bill payments, recharges, domestic money transfers, and travel & events ticketing.
Endured with time and challenges, Pebuu has emerged as a strong and trusted associate. We have observed a steady growth in the Ugandan market and have now branched out in African markets such as Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, South Sudan, Tanzania, Zambia, and Rwanda. At present, we have 1,800 plus distributors and over 34,000 retailers, 50 Million robust transactions and 65 Million USD already transacted. Operative in 9 telecom circles, we are adding an average of 1 telecom circle every 90 days.
