Greatly Disappointed
This journey of life is highly unpredictable. There is no human being who is always 100% sure of living the next day. The secret to life is not and will never be in the hands of human beings. This greatly depicts how most people behave and live their life here on earth.
The biggest rule to life, however, is that man will always do his best to achieve, to acquire more, to become better, to feel safer, and to progress in life. Whether educated or not, favored or not, young or old, black or white, tall or short. Every human being will always strive towards this direction. No one has to teach us this. It is a general rule, and an entitlement to human beings.
The extent to which we envision our achievement, our safety, and progress in life is what may create the difference in our individual lives. This therefore calls for different and unique strategies to the realization of what we envision in life.
Since we all expect to achieve, but not sure of when exactly to. We all expect to live, but not sure of till when. We then discover that we live on hope. Every human being grows with hope that at some point in life, maybe they will achieve that which they envision. It is this hope that therefore gives birth to expectation. We hence move on our journey of life with great expectations. We expect to become rich, to attain academic success, to be deeply loved, to become wealthy, to get good jobs, to have happy marriages, to startup businesses and companies, and to live long. In other words, we expect to grow, achieve and to prosper in life. This is not bad in any way. It is a great positive force.
However, there’s one thing that majority of us tend to forget. That there exists a different force pulling in the opposite direction. These forces are ushered in by a point of reality in life. This vividly explains what exactly is on the ground, what directly is in your circle of life, what you currently interface within your life. Much as you expect to become wealthy, and you are not sure when exactly. Reality says you are currently broke and jobless. That marriage you expect to be ‘heaven on earth’, is now a great nightmare for you. That job you expected to be a great source of joy and happiness, is now the biggest burden that you battle with yourself every morning to go to work. You are now frustrated and greatly disappointed. All your high expectations are now watered down. The prevailing circumstances of life (reality) have outweighed your expectations. The gap is so wide that you cannot avoid a disappointment. To some people this is the end of their life. They throw in the towel. They give up. They let go of it all. They let life be.
But to every dream chaser out there. It is important to build a resilient spirit in you, that not even a reality check can manage to break. You are not the first person to face the tough reality. And you are not gonna be the last to face it. Many people have passed through what you are currently facing, even greater ones. You may as well need to check your levels of expectation. Don’t expect too much, especially from people. Stand your ground, face the tough reality, focus on your dreams, and pave your way through. Pay the price for your success if that is the way to go, and relentlessly pursue your dreams. However deeply frustrated and greatly disappointed you are. You can still raise to the occasion. Pray to God for strength. Get back to your feet and keep moving toward your dreams. May God bless you abundantly! The Dream Chaser loves you.
