Yesterday, SUGECO had the privilege of welcoming an international delegation from the Beyond Farming Collective (BFC) Program with representatives from the Netherlands, Kenya, Nigeria and Tanzania.
The delegation visited our youth-led horticulture project and toured key infrastructure including water reservoirs, boreholes, and solar-powered irrigation systems — investments that will directly benefit over 200 young people.
They met six young agripreneurs already producing sweet peppers, tomatoes, and onions commercially, as well as trainees currently building their skills for sustainable agribusiness.
The energy, commitment, and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by the youth were truly inspiring — with some already creating jobs for fellow young people.
Together, we are proving that youth empowerment through sustainable agriculture is not just a vision — it’s a reality. 🌱✨
