Five times on this stage, but this one is different.

This was my 5th time receiving this award—a milestone in my career—but the real highlight wasn’t the recognition. It was carrying my son up on stage with me.

He was excited yet a little unsure, not fully understanding what was happening. But in that moment, I knew he was proud of me. And I was even prouder to share this with him.

Looking back, I wasn’t an overnight success. It took me about four years before I saw real momentum, and every step of the way, I’ve been carried by Grace. In the Bible, the number 5 represents grace, and I’ve received it in abundance—from God, my clients, my family, and my colleagues.

Grateful for this journey and the people who have made it meaningful.

2024: A Year of Growth and Gratitude

This year, I intentionally stepped back from social media. It had started to feel overwhelming, and I wanted to focus on living life more fully in the present. That choice gave me the space to appreciate the simple joys and blessings around me.

Having a place to finally call my own has been a dream come true. It’s not just a house—it’s a haven, a space filled with love, comfort, and memories in the making.

💼 Achievements and adventures

I’m grateful for the opportunities this year brought, including 4 work milestones that reflected growth and perseverance. I also took time for 2 personal trips, moments that allowed me to recharge and create lasting memories.

As I look to 2025, I feel a mix of excitement and anticipation, with a touch of nervousness for what’s ahead. But I’ve learned it’s okay to take life one day at a time, especially when surrounded by loved ones who make the journey worthwhile.

My family had the pleasure of attending my Secretary's wedding, and it got me reflecting on why I chose Financial Advisory as a career.

The beauty lies in journeying with people through different life seasons, a value I've cherished since my days of leading small group gatherings in church. Grateful that I can live this out not just with clients but also with my subordinates.

Siti has been working with me for 2.5 years now has been an incredible support. Her simple and contented lifestyle inspires me. As a token of my blessings, I gifted the couple an all-expenses-paid hotel stay for their wedding night.

What began as the sales incentive trip extended into our first family solo vacation abroad. Things didn't go exactly as planned, though...

We wanted to explore Cingjing Farm's highlands, but a typhoon messed up our travel roads a week before. Our plans to play outside with our 2.5-year-old got spoiled by the hot weather and rain, so we had to stay inside mostly.

Little O usually naps and eats on a schedule in Singapore, but we had to adjust to power naps and meals he wasn't too excited about.

Traveling with our toddler was quite different. Would we have chosen this? Maybe not, but we decided to go with the flow. Fortunately, a few good things happened:

Our worried flight turned out fine with familiar faces and extra help for our little one. He even slept for most of it!

When we went out on hot days, it unexpectedly became cooler and didn't rain.

Our trip happened to coincide with our good friends' trip, and we ended up visiting an animal farm in YiLan, which was even better than the zoo we planned to see ourselves.

Things didn't go according to plan...it turned out to be even BETTER than planned!

Thankful for we-time and we finally caught The Batman!

Saturday afternoons are pockets of intentional time set aside for time alone-together. However, because it's so precious, we often end up using it to run errands together and get supplies for the week ahead.

Today, we decided to put that aside and focussed on us. Feeling rejuvenated!

Today, I commemorated our 1 year working anniversary with my Super PA, Siti. Thankful to have her help in my PAPER-work so that I can focus on PEOPLE-work.

Leading up to employing her, I used to handle everything myself. I thought that no one knew or could do my work better than I did. I was also apprehensive about paying someone a salary and that meant having less for my own.
However, keeping this mindset stifled my growth and I was only inching towards my professional goals.

I was later enlightened during a business seminar that the solution to growth was to outsource and hire the right people. With some encouragement from my colleagues, I took the leap of faith.

Hiring Siti was a big part in allowing me to more than 2X my revenue and it gave me the mindspace to work on my business and have more time for my family.

Today, I've reframed my mind when a certain task arises - Is this something I can possibly outsource or hire?

And I fiercely guard my Hires by paying well, blessing their family, nurturing and encouraging personal growth through investing in them because I know that they are great assets to my business and I cannot run my business alone.
