PADI Open Water Course - Similan Liveaboard

The ultimate way to do a PADI Open Water course and learn to scuba dive, is on our Live aboard. Your instructor stays with you for the whole trip, helping add to your confidence and understanding.

On the 5 days trip you'll do 17 dives (14 day dives and 3 dusk/ night dives) and on the 3 days trip you'll do 9 dives (8 day dives and 1 dusk/ night dive).

Start your scuba course with 1 day of theory (book & DVD) and 1/2 day swimming pool skills done here in Khao Lak on the day of departure. These skills teach you the standard rules and principles of diving. On the first diving day you will do 3 dives to 12m, the next day you will do 1 more dive to 18m to earn the standard requirements to be certified. Congratulations you are an Open Water diver.

As a new Open Water Diver you should feel confident, and ready to move onto your next diving adventure. The Advance Open Water course qualification will allow you to master your buoyancy and dive down to 30m opening up possibilities for greater adventure diving.

Similan Season 2015/2016 is almost upon us. Time to brush off the cobwebs and don those fins.......Here we go !!

Similan Islands
The Similan Islands are probably the most beautiful and diverse dive sites in Thailand, day trips and liveaboards to the islands are among the most popular worldwide. They consist of nine islands of granite rock with partially lush tropical vegetation, lapped by crystal clear water and lined partly with fine white sandy beaches. The islands stretch over 25 kilometers, like a pearl necklace, from north to south on the Andaman Sea and located 65 km off the coast of Phang Nga province. They were declared a Marine National Park in 1982.

The Similans are ideal for observing or photographing small fish by its enormous biodiversity of tropical reef fish. But not only small fish visit here, even Leopard sharks or White and Black tip sharks are not rare also Manta rays and Whale sharks can be seen. You can visit the Similan Marine National Park from October to May on day trips or overnight trips, but you will find the best conditions from November to April.

Our dive and snorkeling trips depart every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday visiting the destination Similan Islands and Wednesdays & Sundays also to Koh Bon and Koh Tachai. In the morning we travel by minibus to Tablamu where our comfortable dive boat MV Chai Yo is moored. We try to make sure that also our non-diving guests receive maximum attention, fun and safety.
