TFI - Fun Events For Charity

TFI - Fun Events For Charity The mission for TFi is to host Fun Events For Charity that will benefit a variety of charities and needy individuals within Thailand. Why be a standard sponsor?

TFI - Fun Events For Charity has been created to fill a gap in the Pattaya market. It's a social gathering not a networking event. It's ethos is fun events to support multiple charities or charitable initiatives. Sponsorship plans & costs
There are three types of sponsorship plans available, shared, lead+, and exclusive. Shared means you share your brand logo with other brands, this ensures we rea

ch our financial target to host the event. Lead+ means one sponsor will appear in the masthead plus the shared sponsors. Exclusive means only one sponsor covers the entire cost to host the event, no other shared sponsors would appear. Venue logo will always appear, food and beverage logos may appear depending upon the event. Sponsor Plan Cost
Shared 10,000 THB
Lead+ 50% of Event Budget
Exclusive 100% of Event Budget

If the event costs 70,000 baht, we would need 7 shared sponsors to cover the cost. The Lead+ would have to pay 35,000 baht to appear in the masthead. If we already have committed shared sponsors to an event, and a lead sponsor comes in late, then any funds that exceed our planned budget will be added to the charity fund. Firstly, you’ll be helping one of our selected charities. You can promote your sponsorship of the event, this will benefit you and the event. Secondly, you’ll get exposure. From pre-event to post-event exposure with your brand on our posters, on the website, on our page, not forgetting the night of the event where your brand logo will be on a backdrop in front of a full house of guests. For only 10,000 THB the exposure is great value alone, but you’ll also get two free tickets too. Why be a lead sponsor? The lead sponsor appears in the masthead along with the TFI logo and the venue logo. You’ll be featured on the website and on facebook, and you’ll be interviewed for TV and/or radio, either pre-event or post-event. The cost of lead sponsorhip will depend if you want exclusivity, or whether you want to share the limelight with standard sponsors. How can I be a sponsor? ANNOUNCEMENT/INVITATION
TFi (Thai Farang Initiative) was founded in July 2013 with a view to making ‘Fun events for charity’

Over the years we have created some brilliant events all of which have been solely with the aim of raising much needed funds for the disadvantaged in our community.

In that time through our efforts and the generosity of our sponsors, friends and supporters we are delighted to have raised 1,034,869.00 Thai Baht.

Over the last year or so, we have ceased hosting events, partly due to the changes in the economy and because the dynamics of Pattaya has changed somewhat.

We have however still assisted many poor families and children, but now the time has come to wind things down and to close our accounts by using our remaining funds to assist some of the foundations, NGO’s and communities that we have built up beautiful relationships with over the 6 years since we started.

A big thanks to Kellogg's ,Khun Noi, Eva Johnson, Barry Upton, Nigel Cannon, Jimmy Malone and all other sponsors and friends

Between now and Christmas we will be liquidating our accounts to the tune of 195,000 THB across these worthy causes:
1, Take Care Kids, are in need of a safe minibus and have started a fund-raising project to which we will donate 50,000 we will also spend an additional 2000 THB on Christmas bags for the kids - Total: 52,000 THB
2, The Glory Hut is a community where the inhabitants are living with HIV & AIDS, some of them are suffering from TB and they need individual huts separate from the main accommodation. We will give financial assistance. - Total: 25,000 THB
3, Dr Philippe Seur at Heart 2000 also helps Thai and farang patients who have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS but cannot receive help from the government medical programme. We will make a donation to help supply much-needed medications. - Total: 25,000 THB
4, TFi will join with the Rotary Club Eastern Seaboard to provide clean water filters to poor families and hill tribes in Northern Thailand (Mae Sot) who badly need clean water. We will make a donation of 20 water filters. - Total: 30,000 THB
5, BAAN KRUJA the Anti Trafficking and Child abuse Centre at Nong Prue are refurbishing the children’s sleeping huts putting in a new ceiling and renewing the beds and some pipework to prevent flooding. -Total: 30,000 THB
6, Kates Project again have benefitted from our fund-raising efforts in the past and on Sunday the 15th of December we will donate food parcels for about 80 families. Total: 33,000 THB

We would like to invite all our friends, supporters and sponsors to this final public handover, it will take place at 11am on Sunday the 15the of December at their small meeting place opposite the Buddhist Art Museum, Nong Prue.
Santa will be on hand to hand out some goodies to the children, and Kellogs have also made a donation to this event.

On a personal note, I would like to thank all of our contributors, the media, sponsors and the various team members over the years, including the current team Rodney Charman, Paul Johnson and his lovely girlfriend Pure, Greig Ritchie and Richard Arthur, and back through the years with Nick Lawrence, Earl Brown, Joe Cox and my co-founder Matt O’Sullivan.

This has been a totally fulfilling experience and one that has helped shape my life here in Thailand, we have worked with Jesters Care for Kids, Rotary Club Eastern Seaboard, Operation Smile, Women with a Mission and many others who give up their time to help the people of this beautiful country.

My sincere thanks to you all Paul Strachan Co-Founder of TFi

TFi members Rodney Charman, Paul Johnson and Paul Strachan visited Nongprue city hall on Wednesday the 12th December to hand over a mobility scooter to K Boonsong a Thai man who had lost both his legs in an accident a few years ago. K Boonsong had been making a living by selling lottery tickets and begging in the area around Soi Nernplabwan using a 3 wheeled bicycle which he powered by pulling on a central handle when he came to the attention of Nongprue city hall who then started to help him financially in order for him to survive. The focus of TFi is to help people, who for reasons out of their own control, have been left more disadvantaged than others. On this occasion TFi collaborated with Matt O’Sullivan from the Pattaya Guide to purchase the Mobility Scooter. K Gio from Take Care Kids helped us find a worthy recipient for the scooter, and he liaised with Amy from Nongprue Social Services who in turn chose K Boonsong. K Mai Chaianit the Mayor of Nongprue took time out of his busy schedule to oversee the presentation of the new Mobility Scooter to K Boonsong and thanked TFi for their generosity and for thinking about Thai people. The scooter is powered by electric and after a few minutes of familiarizing himself with the scooter K Boonsong was soon able to maneuver it with ease and humbly thanked all present and gave a tear jerking rendition of a traditional Thai song for the sponsors and members of the press. Richard Arthur, K Pure and Greig Ritchie who are also members of TFi were unable to be present for the handover. As the year end is drawing to a close TFi would like to thank all our supporters and sponsors over the many years and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We will return in 2019 with more ‘Fun Events For Charity’ and in case you didn’t work it out TFi stands for Thai Farang Initiative.
