We were delighted to welcome Khun Nicha Wachpanich and Khun Ken G. Weber from HardStories for a hands-on workshop with our Media Com students.

From fact-checking to spotting misinformation and exploring OSINT tools, students gained practical skills and a deeper understanding of ethical journalism in today’s digital world.

The Media and Communication Program recently hosted an inspiring guest talk, “From Story to Impact: Marketing Great Stories to Real Consumers through the Disney Lens.”

We were honored to welcome Khun Nawin Sribhadung, Integrated Marketing Lead from The Walt Disney Company (Thailand – SEA), who shared valuable insights into how powerful storytelling is transformed into meaningful marketing that connects with real audiences.

Our students had the opportunity to explore how global campaigns are strategically crafted—bridging creativity, consumer insight, and impact.

🌏 Media Com goes global!

Students from ICMC 218: Journalism in the Transmedia Age recently joined a virtual exchange with the University of Michigan.

Dr. Nunnapan Puathanawat and Dr. Treepon Kirdnark shared perspectives on environmental journalism in Thailand, including how issues like PM2.5, extreme heat, and climate risks are reported across news and social media.

The session gave our students a great opportunity to connect with international peers, exchange ideas, and explore how journalism is evolving in today’s transmedia landscape.

🎬✨ MediaCom Part-time Ajarn Featured at Thai Film Archive Event

Our part-time lecturer Aj. Parinee Buthsasri, cinematographer and filmmaker, was invited to join a special talk at the Thai Film Archive on 17 October 2025, following the screening of Cameraperson as part of the Women with a Movie Camera program.

The discussion featured three outstanding Thai cinematographers
🎥 Khun Teerawat Rujintham, Khun Chananan Chotirungruang, and Aj. Parinee Buthsasri who shared their experiences in storytelling through the lens, reflecting on their creative journeys and perspectives on visual storytelling in contemporary Thai cinema.

The event also commemorated Sapphasat Day (วันสรรพสาตร) with a ceremony honoring Prathueang Srisupan, Thailand’s first female cinematographer, and a tribute to Prince Thongtham Thawalwong, the first Thai filmmaker to publicly screen motion pictures in Siam.

Here comes the end of our time at the 3rd Me[I]dia thesis event under the theme of Media Town. We want to take this heartfelt moment to thank everyone who came to support us. It’s been a true joy to see this event come alive, and even more meaningful to know we’ve shared this space with you, not just physically but emotionally too.

A big congratulations to all the seniors who poured their hearts into these projects. Your work didn’t just fill rooms; it sparked conversations and left lasting impressions that we hope will stay with everyone for a long time.

Last but not least, a huge thank you to our ajarn, the event team, and everyone behind the scenes who dedicated their time and energy to make this happen. We couldn’t have done it without you.

It’s been an absolute pleasure creating this experience and sharing these moments with all of you. We hope you carry a piece of it with you for a long time. Until we meet again🤍 thank you for being part of our story.

พวกเราอยากขอบคุณทุกคนจากใจจริง ที่มาร่วมสนับสนุนและสนุกไปด้วยกัน ถือเป็นหนึ่งในความสำเร็จของพวกเราที่ได้เห็นงานนี้เต็มไปด้วยผู้คน รอยยิ้ม เสียงหัวเราะ และแม้กระทั่งน้ำตาแห่งความภูมิใจ

ขอแสดงความยินดีกับนักศึกษาปี 4 ทุกคนที่ทุ่มเททั้งแรงกายและแรงใจลงไปในโปรเจกต์เหล่านี้ ผลงานของทุกคนไม่ได้แค่เติมเต็มนิทรรศการ แต่ยังจุดประกายความรู้สึกและสร้างความประทับใจให้กับทุกคนที่มาร่วมงาน

สุดท้ายนี้ งานนี้จะไม่สามารถเกิดขึ้นได้เลยหากขาดอาจารย์ ทีมงาน และทุกคนที่อยู่เบื้องหลัง ขอขอบคุณจากหัวใจสำหรับเวลา ความตั้งใจ และพลังที่ทุกคนมอบให้ เพื่อให้งานนี้สำเร็จขึ้นมาได้
