Title: "Ang Anak ng Iba" (Someone Else's Child)

​"Five years na ako dito sa Hong Kong. Five years ko na ring inaalagaan si Josh.

​Tuwing umaga, ako ang nagigising sa kanya. Ako nagpapaligo, ako naghahatid sa school. Kapag umiiyak siya, sa akin siya tumatakbo. Tinatawag niya akong 'Auntie,' pero ang higpit ng yakap niya parang sa nanay.

​Mahal ko yung alaga ko. Pero tuwing gabi, kapag tulog na siya, doon ako naiiyak. Kasi naaalala ko yung anak ko sa Pilipinas. Seven years old na siya ngayon. Sa video call ko lang siya nakikita lumaki.
​Minsan, nagtatampo siya sa akin. Bakit daw si Josh, nahahatid ko sa school? Bakit daw siya, lola lang ang kasama? Ang sakit. Parang pinupunit ang puso ko. Gusto ko sabihin sa kanya, 'Anak, kaya ko inaalagaan si Josh para mabigyan kita ng magandang buhay. Para hindi mo maranasan maging katulong balang araw.'

​Mahirap maging nanay sa anak ng iba, habang yung sarili mong anak, nangungulila sa'yo.
​Pero kakayanin. Konting tiis na lang. Malapit na matapos ang bahay. Malapit na ako umuwi. At sa pag-uwi ko, hindi na cellphone ang yayakapin ko."
