Stay ALERT!!! Scammers are Imposter!!!

[ALERT] Look out for scammers posing as Great Eastern HR personnel. There have recently been reports of suspicious individuals offering fake job opportunities on WhatsApp and online job search platforms.

Based on the reports, they are pretending to be Talent Acquisition/ HR personnel from Great Eastern and asking for personal data including financial information and family details. We would like to emphasise that our HR personnel will never initiate unsolicited calls or ask you for your personal information over the phone.

Please also note that we now only post job opportunities on our Careers website (http://grp.gelife.co/findacareer) and authorised platforms (LinkedIn, JobStreet and eFinancialCareers) – postings on any other platform are not from us.

Going through cancer treatment can be daunting, knowing that after treatment, you’re not sure if there’s a future after recovery is devastating.

Dr Kiley Loh, Director, Cancer Education and Information Service; Consultant, Division of Medical Oncology, National Cancer Centre Singapore, shared how there is a rising number of cancer survivors in Singapore due to improvements in screening and anti-cancer treatments, as well as an ageing population.

With this increase in cancer survivors, it is important that companies strive towards better helping their employees who are cancer survivors to cope with their recovery, while also contributing meaningfully at work. Dr Loh said that employers can be more compassionate towards their employees who are recovering, and flexibility is needed from both parties to find the best mutually beneficial working arrangement.

This article has renewed my Passion and energised me to do more for everyone I meet. I want to encourage whoever you are and whatever your situation is right now, take a minute to read and think about your future self. What can you do for your loved ones when you can no longer provide for them. Reality can be very cruel when planning is not done properly.
