"Why Time Seems to Fly—and Why We Must Plan Ahead"

It often feels like time is slipping away faster than we can grasp. Here are nine reasons why time seems to fly:

Busy Schedules
Routine and Repetition
Lack of Mindfulness
New Experiences
Stress and Overload
Social Media and Technology
Aging
Focused Attention
Lack of Memory Formation

With each day blending into the next, many of us become so focused on juggling work, personal responsibilities, and maintaining our busy schedules that we lose sight of something crucial: ensuring our loved ones are taken care of, no matter what the future holds.

As time flies by, have you stopped to consider whether your financial plans are aligned with the legacy you want to leave behind? Financial and estate planning are not just about managing money—they’re about protecting the people who matter most to you. Here’s why this is so important:

Your family’s financial security:

Without a solid plan, your loved ones may face unnecessary financial burdens if something happens to you. Estate planning ensures your assets are distributed according to your wishes and that your family is financially stable during difficult times.

Avoiding confusion and conflict:
A well-prepared estate plan helps prevent legal disputes and misunderstandings among family members. It brings clarity, ensuring everyone knows exactly how things will be handled.

Legacy beyond wealth:
Financial planning isn’t just about leaving money—it’s about providing the foundation for your family to thrive, and carrying on your values for future generations.

Health and decision-making:
Documents like a will and power of attorney ensure your medical and financial wishes are respected when you’re no longer able to make decisions for yourself.

In our race against time, one of the most valuable gifts we can give our loved ones is a well-prepared plan for the future. Estate planning is a true act of love. It’s not about anticipating the worst; it’s about ensuring that, no matter what happens, your family is secure, cared for, and free from the additional stress of uncertainty.

As we reflect on how quickly time passes, take this moment to pause and ask:

Are you financially prepared for tomorrow? Have you taken steps to protect your loved ones?

Don’t wait for time to slip away—start your financial and estate planning today. It's never too early to plan for your future and theirs. 🕒

Can Muslims Use Trust?

Yes, Muslims can use trust. In fact, there's a growing trend of Muslims utilizing trusts as a wealth management tool.

It's essential to consult with Shariah experts to ensure that a trust is structured and managed in compliance with Islamic law.

🎓🌟🎉 Exciting News 🎉🌟🎓

Hey everyone, I've got some great news to share!

11 July 2024, was the 2024 SCI Graduation Ceremony and I am thrilled to announce that I received not one, but two certificates and pins from the Singapore College of Insurance (SCI). It's my second time donning a graduation gown, and I couldn't be more proud of this achievement.

I remember when I first started my journey in doing financial planning (2010), and it brings me so much joy to share that I completed my Diploma in Personal Financial Planning on 11 June 2021. Since then, I have worked hard and earned the professional designation of Chartered Financial Consultant®/Singapore on 5th August 2022, as well as the prestigious designation of IBF Advanced (Level 3).

As Confucius once said, "It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop." This journey has been filled with ups and downs, but the key is to keep going and never give up.

On that note, I want to emphasize the importance of lifelong learning. It's crucial to keep expanding our knowledge and skills, and I'm a firm believer in the H.E.L.P concept (Holistic Estate & Legacy Planning). Trusting someone with great credentials when it comes to financial planning is essential for securing your future.

In addition to my other accomplishments, I am also a Certified Islamic Wealth Adviser (CIWA) and hold Certificate in General Insurance (CGI).

So here's to embracing lifelong learning and celebrating every milestone along the way. Thank you all for your support and encouragement. Cheers to the future! 🥂📚✨

Hey everyone, it's Friday!

To all the pet owners out there, I want to ask you a question - how much do you love your furkids? Our pets are more than just animals, they are a part of our family. They are there to greet us when we come home from a long day at work, they cuddle with us when we're feeling down, and they bring so much joy into our lives.

But have you ever thought about the importance of having pet insurance? Imagine the heartbreak of not being able to afford the medical care your furkid needs when they are in pain. It's a tough situation that no pet owner ever wants to face.

Our furkids are there to accompany our kids when we are busy at work, and they play a vital role in our family. Let's make sure we can always take care of them when they need it most.

If you have any questions or would like to share your own experiences, feel free to leave a comment below.

Let's start a conversation about the importance of pet insurance and keeping our furkids happy and healthy.

Title: The 4 Stages Of Kicking A Bad Habit 😉

Hey everyone, it's Thursday and I wanted to share with you the 4 stages of kicking a bad habit. Whether it's biting your nails, procrastinating, or indulging in unhealthy behaviors, breaking a bad habit is no easy task. But with the right approach, it can be done. Here are the 4 stages to help you kick that bad habit to the curb:

1) Acknowledge your bad habit
The first step to breaking a bad habit is acknowledging that you have one. It's important to be honest with yourself and recognize the behavior that you want to change. Whether it's mindless snacking, smoking, or excessive screen time, acknowledging the habit is the first step towards making a change.

2) Understand why you engage in bad habit
Once you've acknowledged your bad habit, it's important to understand why you engage in it. Is it a coping mechanism for stress? A way to fill a void? Understanding the root cause of your habit can help you address the underlying issues and make it easier to break free from it.

3) Track and monitor bad habit
Tracking and monitoring your bad habit can provide valuable insights into your triggers and patterns. Keep a journal, use a habit-tracking app, or simply make notes on your phone to record when and why you engage in the behavior. This awareness can help you identify opportunities for change and develop strategies to overcome the habit.

4) Replace Bad habit with a healthy habit
Instead of focusing solely on eliminating the bad habit, consider replacing it with a healthy alternative. For example, if you're trying to cut back on sugary snacks, replace them with fruits or nuts. By substituting the behavior with a healthier option, you can create a positive shift in your routine.

If you have any questions or would like to share your own experiences, feel free to leave a comment below. Remember, breaking a bad habit takes time and effort, but with dedication and perseverance, it is possible. You've got this!

Stay strong,

Hairil Daud
