Being a salaried employee isn’t bad. It’s stable. Predictable. Safe. ✅

But let’s be honest:

• You work harder → company profits more 📈
• You exceed expectations → maybe 3–5% increment 💸
• You wait all year for a bonus that’s already budgeted 🗂️
• You need approval to take leave 📝

After a 2‑week break, I finally dragged myself back to exercising… and let’s just say my muscles were very 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥. Every rep felt like I was lifting a small refrigerator. 😆

I’ll be honest—comfort zones are tempting. They feel safe, predictable, and familiar. For years, I stayed in mine, thinking consistency was the key to success.

Then one day, I said yes to something that I have been putting off for some time:

Ethan and Evan were identical twins—same DNA, same home, same haze of cigarette smoke from their parents.

As teens, their paths split:
🧑‍🦱 Ethan started smoking.
“It’s normal,” he said. “It’s what we grew up with.”

Despite wanting to accelerate growth to achieve success as soon as possible, I need to constantly remind myself to let nature takes its course.

💡 “𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐬”

Went for exercise with this morning. Afterwards, we chatted over coffee and I asked her how was her recent MDRT experience. She said she benefited from it greatly.

She recapped this phrase “Greatness is born in the shadows” and shared that most of us only look at the glamour of the achievements of a person but we do not see the effort and hardwork required.

Instead we should focus on putting in effort and hardwork to achieve the results that we want.

This resonated with me a lot.

Everyone admired Kobe Bryant for his legendary success but few truly understood the relentless grind behind the scenes. Early mornings, late nights, thousands of hours of practice. His greatness wasn’t built under the spotlight—it was forged in 𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞.

In the world of 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, the story is no different.
