Western Barbeque

This stall's western food really stands out, because of their generous use of garlic to top their chicken chop. They are also generous on the portion of the chicken, which is juicy and tender. The amount of food was so plentiful, my husband couldn't finish everything and has to get the bun to go!

For $7, we consider this value-for-money and the taste is good too! Overall, a traditional western food stall that is worth a visit if you are in the area.

Fong Seng Nasi Lemak

This popular Nasi Lemak stall was introduced to me by my husband, who was from NUS. Its offerings are attractive as the variety is quite big (like economical rice/ cai fan stall) and you can choose the ingredients you like to go with your Nasi Lemak rice.

We went for one of their standard sets, which includes Teriyaki chicken and Saba fish at $8. As we were sharing the meal, we top up $1 for the Achar. Most of the items are well-executed. Rice is fragrant, teriyaki chicken is sufficiently tender and flavourful, Achar is appetizing and the fried items are crunchy. The only let down in my opinion is the fish, which we felt is too hard in texture, though the flavour is good.

Overall, we enjoyed the meal and can definitely understand its appeal and popularity. We went on a weekday morning so there was no queue. However, I heard that it can get really busy so recommended to visit during off-peak hours. The stall opens till 4am in the morning so this will be a good supper spot.

[Review] Big scissor Hainanese Curry Rice

I can't find a Google Rating on this stall but I would rate it as a strong 4 out of 5 based on my personal taste. The pork chop is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Cabbage is of a good texture, being neither too hard nor soft.  If there is any complain, it will be that the egg is a bit small 😅.

There is a homemade quality to the overall taste which we believe will appeal to most people! Expect to queue during peak hours. We recommend you to try if you are in the area!

[Review] Manfook Hong Kong Roast Meat

I can't find a Google Review Rating on this stall, but the branch at Orchard (Wisma Atria) scores a 3.7/5.

This branch we visited is located inside the Hennessy Hong Kong Food Hall at Leisure Park Kallang. The roast meat is surprising good! Char siew is well charred and very tasty. Roast pork is very crispy, though I did find it a tad salty. If you only want to try one type of roast meat, go for the char siew! It may not be the cheapest plate of roast meat rice at $8.80, but the quality is good.

Worth a try in our opinion.
