Tujuan.

Let’s take some time and reflect on our ‘tujuan’ this coming Muharram.

Question why we do what we do.
Question its’ purpose.
Question our ‘why’.

This is the best time to realign everything back to our faith.

I was in my teens when i found out that i still had baby teeth. Not one or two, there were three!

The fact was, i had no “adult” tooth to replace the three 🦷🦷🦷

One retired a few years ago, so i got an implant for it. The second is giving way, i guess its just a matter of time till i have to attach the screw. The last one is still fighting for its life 😬

Unfortunately there are no coverage for dentistry under personal insurance - but some corporate accounts do.

Thankful that my work benefit covers some of my bills. And perhaps you can nudge your HR to explore adding this benefit company-wide, InsyaAllah its something I can assist with too.

Take care of your gigi, brush twice daily, floss, and please see the dentist twice a year. Its such a win when your gums dont bleed!

Before we learn multiplication or algebra, we start with addition and subtraction. The basics.

I see hospitalisation insurance the same way.

Many people tell me they don’t need it yet.
Medishield Life is enough, company insurance will cover, they’re young, healthy, exercising regularly.

And honestly, no one plans to fall ill. Life just happens.

I’ve also met people who come worried, asking if they or their loved ones can still be covered, only to find out a condition has already taken that option away.

Hospitalisation insurance isn’t just about admissions or surgery. It’s also about the care before and after when recovery matters just as much.

I’ve seen too many struggle with medical bills to take this lightly.

While we’re still in good health, maybe it’s worth getting our basics right.

2025 has been life changing. My focus has shifted, commitments changed and direction, kinda blurred.

I started 2025 with the aim to slow down, and while I did this, other things in life seems to have sped up. Lots of lesson learnt, and much more to learn from.

May our hopes for 2026 remain high be it in health, wealth or family.

I believe that all our silent prayers and unspoken dreams are not left unheard. InsyaAllah.

An injury last week landed me in A&E. Before deciding on SGH, I remember thinking, “Which hospital should I go to? Parkway East? Changi? Raffles?

Alhamdulillah, I had the choice and peace of mind to consider where I think is best without the barrier of cost. (Though the SGH nurse did scold me for not just going to the nearest one! 😄)

It turns out to be a (bad) lower back sprain, but I’m slowly recovering InsyaAllah.

Having the coverage really gave me assurance with the choices at hand.
Grateful that I could also claim for outpatient treatment and the upcoming physio.

Alhamdulillah, recently I received an award for reaching a new milestone at work.

The year 2024 was honestly hard. Most days, I struggle to meet new connections.

The truth is, my work is very much commissioned-based and I worry when there are hardly any leads.

Even so, whenever I meet potential clients, I only propose what is in their best interest - depending on their budget and palette, of course.

I don’t think about making “sales”.

In this line of work, I seek to be the best-in-class, to lead my clients with honesty, sincerity and integrity.

I believe that I am accountable for every cent that my clients allocate for their plans.

I pray that Allah makes it easy for me to remain steadfast and shower me with barakah in my journey as a financial adviser.

2025 has not been easy too, but I’ll try my best InsyaAllah.

I enjoy meeting existing clients for policy reviews.

Within a year of not meeting each other, some of them would have had life-changing events in their lives.

Ada yang got married, yang got a divorce, have a kid, had a miscarriage, continued masters, or even recovered from a major illness.

So sometimes, when life feels stagnant for me, I am reminded again that change is the only constant.

I try to be as resourceful as I can to facilitate the shifts in my client’s lives, and understanding where their headspace is at.

For me, policy reviews are not just about policies, it is also an extension of my amanah to check-in as a peer to those who put their trust in me.

Alhamdulillah, last week I went for a retreat with my colleagues
Squabbled, cried and laughed as we played team bonding activities like Amazing Race, Squid Games and Night Prayers by the Beach.
Insyallah, I will be back Langkawi 🙂
