A rich history dating back to 9th November 1997, Hi! Club: Speak With Your Hands, Listen With Your Heart aims to unite the hearing and our non-hearing counterparts. We offer sign language lessons executed by our instructors and opportunities to interact with the deaf and hard of hearing community. Club teaches ‘Signing Exact English’ (SEE2), enabling Hi! Clubbers to effectively reach out to our lo
cal deaf and hard of hearing friends. Divided into three categories: Basic A, Basic B and Intermediate, our lessons are catered to our members’ signing abilities, progressing only upon completion of the earlier phase. Clubbers also get opportunities to become instructors along the way. Our lessons are conducted once a week from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, on either Monday or Thursday, with a total of 8 sessions per semester. Besides acquiring the ability to communicate with the deaf community, Hi! Club engages in both school-based and external events. Furthermore, Hi! Club camps adhere to our custom of signing through fun and excitement while enhancing our signing capabilities by gaining exposure to signings.
