I started working with Mandi, ~2.5 years ago. We were friends who met through fitness and it was by chance that we spoke about financial planning.

I primarily assisted her on re-organising her existing insurance policies, replacing a more worthy and value for money policy that provided her with overall better coverage. That in itself, provided her with timely liquidity that she required to fulfil her goals at that point in time.

This month, we celebrated Mother's Day in style, hosting an intimate private Yoga Stretch class as my way of giving back and showing my deep appreciation for all.

The event went exceptionally well as we all enjoyed Himalayan tea after the class while receiving their Mother’s Day pack! ✨ My valued clients, accompanied by their beloved Mothers, immersed themselves in a blissful atmosphere, fostering a sense of connection & serenity that is so needed in a time of hustle.

It was a heartwarming sight to witness, as smiles bloomed, and I knew giving back was meant to be 🙏🏻

I’m deeply grateful for the trust and loyalty my clients given and I intend to continue nurturing these cherished relationships.

Cancer doesn’t discriminate by age. Did you know that children who fought through cancer require care from a cancer specialist almost all their life? 😞

Before the month ends, I’ve decided to do something special. To spread awareness on Childhood Cancer. For every like / comment that I receive, I’ll donate a dollar to Love, Nils - a Singapore Charity I’ve been following for quite a while in support of Shine A Light 💡 campaign. This goes towards their fundraising campaign for International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! ✨

I’ve always had a heart towards children & eventually want to become a mother myself. As the eldest in the family & with varied encounters with parents from all walks of life, I’ve seen how the struggles of cancer patients can be so challenging & heartbreaking….

A strong network of support & positive outlook can play as vital a role as medicine does, to treat cancer. With this, I hope we can all spread awareness on childhood cancer 🙏🏻 Join me to spread this love and light, and help patients / families tide through this distressing time. 𝑰𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒍𝒐𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚?
One thing I realized as I got older was that time doesn’t return ⏳. This means learning to balance living in the present while planning for the future.
This was especially true as I eventually got more absorbed into my work upon graduation. In my first few years of Uni life, I was already balancing the duties of being an Advisor & a part- time tutor on top of my full time degree 😮‍💨

Corporate burnout, the Great Resignation & skyrocketing levels of anxiety & depression are all just symptoms of the root cause. There is so much more to your identity as a individual than your job title, prestige, or how many hours you work. 𝐈 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐨 𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟓𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 🌍
I still remembered that feeling of relief & sense of fulfillment when I realised I qualified for my first round table. I just turned 23 then. It was a series of multiple setbacks before I could achieve this goal that I’ve had since I was 19.
Staring at myself in the mirror.. I was absolutely mind blown by the achievement. I ran hard & adapted as quick as I could to dive head-on towards MDRT.

👉🏻 Leave out minor expenses that can add up to A LOT 🤪

I’m not a fan of recommending a % based plan & I’d rather think of this as an ongoing journey. When I was just a uni student in my first year, I’d ZERO clue on how to budget my $$$. All of my inflow & outgoing expenses are accumulated in one account and I’d no idea that bank accounts even had different interest rates which I could leverage on.

Throughout my journey as an FA, I’ve realised that both the millennial & older generation tend to take insurance coverage for granted. Having a strong financial foundation consists of a dependable good base to shelter the unforeseen. I usually recommend my friends to forecast ahead of time so as to plan in advance & avoid incurring additional cost in their portfolio in the future. If your plans and coverage is lacking, it’s best that you add on; only if it is within your means.

Throughout our life, we’ve been investing in our education through constant development & growth. We invest in our tertiary education to mobilise our future income earnings. I invest in fitness classes & finance seminars to bring value to others around me and my life. 𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰 𝒋𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒚 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒕. While both insurance & investments are key essentials, it is important to consider the implications each will have on you and your family’s well-being.

In my opinion, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛. By ensuring that your insurance needs are taken care of before focusing on investments, you are building a safety net for you & your loved ones. That way, you can channel your efforts into building your career, cash flow & income accumulation.

Without a functioning financial umbrella, a health issue or unfortunate event early in your life would put you and/or your family at risk, no matter how well your investments may have performed. I took a one year hiatus to groom myself, learn from friends the qualities that they were looking for in an advisor. I sacrificed the income I could’ve earned as a student for a greater environment.
