LEAP with Ken Life Enhanced, Assured and Protected

Ken Loo: Chartered Financial Consultant®/S, BSc. (Hons) Accou I'm passionate about investing in both finances and people.

As 1 of the 104 AIA Senior Premier Consultants, I take financial planning seriously. I believe a proper financial portfolio is the best way to say "I love you" to your loved ones and retirement belongs to the person who prepares for it today. When I'm not following the stock markets or helping others manage their wealth, you can find me listening to my friends and linking them to the right people

for help or an opportunity. In all other times, you can catch me on the golf course or badminton court. I'm actively creating awareness for sports development in our next generation and making it easier for beginners to catch on.

Many stocks are down 40% from their highs. The S&P 500 is down 1%.

Same market. The difference is what else you own.

When one sector takes the hit, the rest carry the weight. That’s not luck. That’s diversification doing its one job.

You don’t diversify to maximize returns. You diversify so no single story can take you out.

Save this for the next time someone calls diversification boring.

In case you are wondering why Gold prices are dipping:

Gold prices plunged 4.4 per cent to US$4,374 per ounce, extending their drop to a roughly four-month low, as the escalating Middle East conflict stoked inflation concerns and expectations of higher global interest rates. Gold generates no interest so when central banks raise interest rates, investors tend to sell gold to invest in interest-yielding assets like bonds or savings accounts. Additionally, higher rates often strengthen the US dollar, making gold costlier for foreign buyers.

Asian stock markets plunge as Trump issues Iran a 48-hour ultimatum, sending oil prices whipsawing and gold tumbling. Read more at straitstimes.com. Read more at straitstimes.com.
