"According to a study from the American Psychological Association, experiencing burnout may increase your likelihood of developing myocardial infarction, ischemic heart disease, stroke and sudden cardiac death, not to mention psychological distress like depression and anxiety.

The costs associated with these critical illnesses can be hefty, which could undercut all the wealth you’ve worked through so much stress to build."

Very thankful for the Outcome Review report by Ministry of Finance (M*F). It provides a good perspective on our standings in the global market. You can find the report at the link below:

There are things we cannot control & things we can control. Very delighted to know the increase of LPA being done, showing more people are aware of the importance of Estate Planning & chosing to do it. An increase in the chronic disease reminded us not only to keep healthy but also to be well insured.

What are you thoughts in this report?

While hanging out with friends, common topics are Family, Finance & Future. "How's Singapore market?", "How do we know when is the right time to enter the market?"...etc. There are 2 areas to it:

1. The hardware - 1 of the common ways is to deduce and decide from the price chart of Strait Times Index (STI)*, ie Active-Trading. This may not be suitable for many as it requires constant monitoring & involves a lot of emotional discipline.

2. The heartware - "Can you still sleep at night if your investments have short-term losses?" **. It is important to know your risk appetite and not fall into a gambling mindset.

If you realized your risk appetite is not as high as you think(meaning to have a peaceful sleep), it would be better to transfer the risk to professionals & let them handle for you. You could also consider a lower-risk financial products that would complement your life goal.
