Today marked a major milestone for the Lagos International Financial Centre (LIFC) and an important step forward for private-sector participation in shaping Nigeria’s financial future.
The inauguration of the National Steering Committee by the Federal Government marks a significant progression in the implementation of the LIFC, strengthening the intergovernmental and inter-agency coordination required to move the LIFC initiative from vision to ex*****on.
For EnterpriseNGR, this moment speaks directly to why we exist: to ensure that the voice of enterprise is not heard only after decisions are made, but is present where conversations happen, where priorities are shaped, and where the future of Nigeria’s Financial and Professional Services sector is being defined.
The Lagos International Financial Centre is a flagship initiative of the Lagos State Government and the private sector, represented by EnterpriseNGR, and has now evolved into a National Economic Priority, with the full support and institutional backing of the Federal Government.
We remain committed to carrying forward the interests, ambitions and realities of the private sector, ensuring that the people and institutions that build businesses, create jobs, deploy capital and drive innovation have a meaningful place in the structures shaping the Centre.
The ambition is clear: to position Lagos as Africa’s financial capital and a globally competitive destination for investment, innovation, sustainable finance and capital.
We are moving forward, and we are moving forward with you.
