The Most Important Dates on the Medicare Calendar Are Almost Here. 🗓️
If you or a loved one are on Medicare, you’ve probably noticed your mailbox filling up and the TV commercials getting louder.
Next week marks the beginning of the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), which runs strictly from October 15th through December 7th.
But what exactly is AEP, and why does it matter so much?
Many people make the mistake of assuming their Medicare coverage will just roll over perfectly into the next year.
While your plan will renew, the details of that plan often change.
Every single year, Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug plans can change their:
1️⃣ Provider Networks (Is your favorite doctor or local hospital still in-network?)
2️⃣ Formularies (Are your specific prescription medications still covered, or did they move to a more expensive tier?)
3️⃣ Out-of-pocket maximums and deductibles.
Doing nothing during AEP might mean you miss out on a plan that better fits your changing health needs, or you might get caught off guard by changes to your current plan in January.
The good news?
You do not have to figure this out alone.
As a locally licensed insurance agent right here in Puerto Rico, my job is to sit down with you, review your current doctors and medications, and compare them against the plans available for 2027 to make sure you are in the right spot.
Our services are completely at no cost to you.
