🚨 SECOND PI MIGRATION HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED! 🚨

After months of anticipation from the community, Pi Network has begun rolling out the second migration to Mainnet. 💜

This new phase allows Pioneers who already completed their first migration to now move additional transferable Pi to the Mainnet wallet.

In simple terms:
More of your mined Pi can now become fully usable on the blockchain.

But there are a few important things every Pioneer should know 👇

🔐 Wallet Security Comes First

Before you become eligible for migration, you must enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your Pi Wallet through Step 5 of the Mainnet Checklist.

This helps protect your Pi because blockchain transactions are irreversible.

👥 Referral Bonus Migration Is Also Included

The second migration will also bring referral mining bonuses to Mainnet — but only for referral team members who have successfully completed KYC.

So if you invited friends to Pi Network, this is the time to:

✔ Remind them to complete their KYC verification
✔ Help them finish the Mainnet Checklist

Because once they pass KYC, your referral bonuses can migrate too.

📊 Gradual Rollout

The second migration will roll out gradually, meaning not everyone will see it immediately.

At the same time:

• First migrations will still continue for eligible Pioneers
• More Pi will gradually move into the Mainnet ecosystem

Once the current migration queue is completed, Pi Network plans to introduce periodic migrations going forward.

Pioneers, we’ve reached over 18 million KYC’d and over 8 million Mainnet migrated Pioneers! Thanks to recent major speed upgrades, KYC applications and Mainnet migrations are processed faster than ever, i.e. nearly 200,000 Pioneers migrated in the last day. This means Open Network can launch as soon as possible in Q1 2025 while reducing the gap between KYC’ed and Mainnet migrated Pioneers for inclusivity and ecosystem stability at Open Network.

Be very careful—scammers have been creating fake Pi Wallet login pages to get Pioneers’ wallet passphrases and steal all their Pi. Also, members will NEVER ask Pioneers for their wallet passphrases. Question: When will it be possible for KYC Validators to review name change appeals?

Answer:
For Pioneers who appealed to change their account name (for small name updates), their appeals are either resolved by only machine automation or require the help from human validators to resolve. The first case has already been in place unblocking such applications to proceed in their KYC process. For the second case, human validators will likely be able to review name change appeals in Q2 this year, after the priorities of additional checks on tentative KYC applications and validators performance analysis.
