Over 500,000 seasonal workers are employed in Sindh every year during the harvest of Mangoes. Labour also arrives from southern Punjab districts such as Bahawalpur, Multan, Layuah & DG Khan. The 'King of Fruits' keeps over half a million men and women in the skilled roles of tree climbers, fruit sorters, packing crew and logistical support with transporting the crated fruit to markets all over the country and exports for all over the world.
