It's the mindset of focusing on progress, not perfection.
So often in life, we get caught up in trying to be perfect. We try to be perfect in our relationships, our jobs, our bodies. But perfection is an unattainable goal. It's a standard that's impossible to meet.
In the gym, this mindset can be especially harmful. We might feel like we need to have the perfect body, the perfect workout routine, the perfect diet. But the truth is, there's no such thing as perfect.
When we focus on perfection, we start to get discouraged. We start to feel like we're not good enough, like we're not making progress fast enough. But the truth is, progress is not a straight line. It's a journey with ups and downs, twists and turns.
When we focus on progress, we start to see that every step forward is a success. Every rep, every set, every sweat drop is a victory. And that's a powerful mindset.
In life, this mindset can help us overcome obstacles and achieve our goals. When we focus on progress, we start to see that every setback is an opportunity to learn and grow. Every failure is a chance to get back up and try again.
So, I want to encourage you today to shift your focus from perfection to progress. Don't be afraid to take risks, to try new things, to push yourself outside of your comfort zone.
In the gym, don't be afraid to try new exercises, to lift heavier weights, to push yourself to new heights. And in life, don't be afraid to chase your dreams, to pursue your passions, to make a difference in the world.
Remember, progress is what drives us forward. Progress is what makes us stronger, faster, and more resilient. And progress is what helps us achieve our goals.
So, let's make a commitment to ourselves today to focus on progress, not perfection. Let's make a commitment to be brave, to be bold, and to be relentless in our pursuit of our goals.
