A Warm Welcome to Honourable Senator Palwasha Mohammad Zai Khan.

It was an honour for Sindh Insurance Limited. Pakistanโ€™s First Ever Provincial Government General Insurance Company, 100% owned by the Government of Sindh, to welcome Honourable Senator Palwasha Mohammad Zai Khan, Chairperson, Senate Standing Committee on information Technology & Telecommunication, to our institution.

We were pleased to share SILโ€™s journey, achievements, and vision for a more resilient Pakistan, with a focus on parametric insurance, climate & catastrophe risk, agricultural protection, health & social protection, and modern risk-management solutions.

Today, a productive meeting was held with Honourable Minister for Agriculture, Sindh, Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, and the Secretary Agriculture, Government of Sindh, to discuss the agriculture insurance mechanisms being designed by Sindh Insurance Limited, a Government of Sindh-owned company, to protect farmers and strengthen the agricultural sector across the province of Sindh.

The discussion focused on developing sustainable, innovative, and farmer-centric insurance solutions that will enhance climate resilience and provide financial protection against agricultural risks.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Faisal Siddiqui, CEO of Sindh Insurance Limited, and Mr. Widad Durrani, Head of Corporate & Government Coordination at Sindh Insurance Limited.

CEO Sindh Insurance Limited, Mr. Faisal Siddiqui, accompanied by Mr. Widad Durrani, Head of Corporate & Government Coordination, met with Mr. Zaman Narejo, Secretary, Agriculture Department, Government of Sindh, to discuss collaboration on Agriculture Crop Insurance, Parametric Insurance, and Area Yield Index Insurance (AYII). The Secretary was also briefed on Sindh Insurance Limitedโ€™s in-house technical capacity to design and implement innovative agricultural insurance solutions across Pakistan.
