In a significant blow to Pakistan’s China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative, 97 Chinese engineers have decided to leave the country following speeches by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and the Chinese Ambassador. According to sources, Chinese officials had been increasingly frustrated with what they perceived as mismanagement and inefficiency among Pakistani authorities.
