Pak-Qatar Family Takaful Limited (PQFTL) has been officially appointed by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) as the first and only Takaful operator in Pakistan licensed to serve as a Pension Fund Manager under the Contributory Pension Fund (CPF) Scheme. The agreement was signed on July 24, 2025, in Peshawar, during a high-level ceremony led by Mr. Muzammil Aslam, Finance Minister, Government of KPK, and attended by Mr. Amer Sultan Tareen, Secretary Finance, Mr. Abdul Qayyum, Team Lead, Debt Management Unit (DMU), and Mr. Naveed Alam, Deputy Director, Pension Department.

Representing Pak-Qatar Family Takaful were Mr. Said Gul and Mr. Kamran Saleem, Founders and Members of the Board of Directors; Mr. Waqas Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer (CEO); and Mr. Mehmood Arshad, Group Executive Director.

This landmark appointment makes Pak-Qatar the only Takaful institution in Pakistan to be licensed as a Pension Fund Manager, to hold an AM2 credit rating with Stable Outlook by PACRA, and to be selected by any provincial government for managing public sector pension contributions.

The selection of PQFTL underscores its commitment to offering ethical, Shariah-compliant financial solutions, and contributing to the long-term financial well-being of government employees across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
