Is your money just sitting in your bank account?
Keeping money aside is important. But if your goal is to grow your savings over time, investing gives that money a proxy for growth.
Through the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), you can become a shareholder in some of Pakistan’s listed companies — which means instead of only saving money, you’re putting part of it into businesses with the potential to grow.
And that matters when inflation is slowly reducing what the same amount of money can buy.
The idea isn’t to move all your savings into stocks or expect quick returns.
Keep the money you need for emergencies and short-term expenses separate. Invest the amount you can afford to keep invested, understand the companies you’re buying, and give your capital time.
Stocks can help your savings grow over the long term, but returns are never guaranteed and the market will move up and down.
Your money can perserved. Or it can start working toward a longer-term goal.
