On-ground action ordered to accelerate CDA sector development. 🗞️
Islamabad: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has directed immediate on-ground action to accelerate development work across Islamabad’s residential sectors and enforce strict measures against illegal encroachments.
Chairing a high-level meeting at CDA Headquarters on Monday, Randhawa emphasized that development must be not only swift but also meet high standards of quality and transparency. He instructed officials to clear all bureaucratic and logistical hurdles that have delayed progress in various housing sectors.

To improve responsiveness and ensure oversight, the CDA chief ordered the establishment of on-site offices for the Deputy Commissioner CDA and other relevant officials in sectors currently under development. These field offices will serve as first points of contact for residents, allowing them to submit complaints, resolve land-related matters, and access necessary information.
A key directive from the meeting was the launch of a decisive crackdown on illegal encroachments in sectors including H-16, C-15, C-16, E-12, and F-13. Randhawa urged citizens with legitimate land or property claims in these areas to present their documents to on-site officials for verification.
“All claims will be addressed transparently and strictly in accordance with the law,” he stated, underlining the administration’s commitment to safeguarding the legal rights of residents while pushing ahead with much-needed development.
The meeting was attended by senior CDA officials, including Members from the Administration, Estate, Engineering, Finance, and Environment wings, as well as the DG Works and Deputy Commissioners of Islamabad and CDA.
Randhawa concluded by stating that CDA is mobilizing all available resources to turn Islamabad into a “model city”—beautiful, well-planned, and responsive to the needs of its citizens.
