The Biggest Lie We Believed: Insurance is a Burden. Here’s the Truth
For years, I believed insurance was just another expense.
“Sayang lang 'yan.”
“Bata pa ako.”
“Wala akong sakit.”
“Invest na lang ako, kikita pa.”
Sound familiar?
I used to say those same words… until I sat with a grieving family—no savings, no backup plan, no income—just bills, heartbreak, and a future that felt like it ended with their father.
He didn’t believe in insurance either.
He said it was a burden.
But now his family carries a much heavier one.
Here’s the truth no one tells us:
✅ Insurance is not a burden.
✅ It’s a shield.
✅ It’s a gift of love in advance.
✅ It’s peace of mind that money CAN buy.
When you get sick, when life throws the unexpected, when you're no longer around—insurance steps in, when you no longer can.
And if you’re lucky enough to stay healthy?
Then that peace of mind was worth every peso.
I got my first policy because I didn’t want to be a liability to the people I love.
Today, I help others do the same—because we deserve better than fear and financial ruin.
So if you’ve ever thought:
"Insurance? Hindi ko na kailangan ‘yan."
I’m here to tell you — that’s the lie.
The truth?
Not having insurance is what’s risky.
