Si Client, biglang nagtanong sa akin about VUL.
May traditional plan na siya sakin, pero curious siya kung ano ba talaga ang VUL.

Ang dami niya raw kasing nababasang negative lately about it... lalo na yung sinasabi na “lugi raw.”

Buti na lang at lumapit siya sa akin... her Financial Advisor... imbes na basta maniwala agad sa mga nakikita online.

‼️This is how I explained VUL to her‼️

Ang VUL o Variable Unit-Linked plan ay isang type ng life insurance na may kasamang investment component. Insurance pa rin siya sa core, kaya protektado pa rin ang client sa mga hindi inaasahang pangyayari tulad ng pagkamatay, critical illness, o aksidente.

Pero hindi ito purely investment. Ang VUL ay nakabase sa needs at kakayahan ng client. May flexibility ito pagdating sa payment—pwede mong dagdagan, bawasan, o ihinto pansamantala, depende sa financial situation mo.

Time ang kalaban dito, dahil ang investment component ay hindi fixed; nakadepende ito sa galaw ng market. Kaya kung short-term ang tinitingnan, pwedeng magmukhang "lugi." Pero kung ang mindset mo ay pang long-term—5, 10, or more years—dito mo makikita ang potential ng growth niya.

Kaya goals-based dapat ang approach sa VUL. Kung ang goal ng client ay protection + long-term financial growth, then VUL might align with her needs.

After nito, mas naging curious si Client. Feeling niya, aligned nga ito sa goals niya kaya nag-set ulit kami ng meeting para mas maipaliwanag ko sa kanya base na sa specific needs at goals niya.

Sa mga doubts natin, madalas ang kailangan lang talaga ay someone who can provide clarity.
And that’s the reason why we have a Financial Advisor.

Kasi kung insured ka na at may tanong ka about your plan, ang una mong lalapitan ay dapat si FA mo.

And I’m really grateful na yung clients ko... at pati yung hindi ko pa clients... ako yung nilalapitan nila whenever they have questions.

Ganito yung kaligayahan naming mga FA... when our clients appreciate what we do.

Sidenote:

Marami ang nalilito sa VUL dahil nakikita lang nila ang investment side nito. Pero ang totoo, VUL is still insurance first. Ang pagkakaiba lang, may dagdag itong investment component na pwedeng makatulong sa long-term goals ng client gaya ng education fund, retirement, o wealth accumulation.

Hindi ito "get-rich-quick" plan. May risks, oo, pero may potential rewards din... especially pag long-term ang perspective. Ang importante ay naiintindihan ito ng client base sa goals, needs, at capacity niya. Kaya mahalagang kumonsulta sa FA... para guided ang desisyon.
