Quick disclaimer muna 😂 — pasensya na sa wrong grammar at sa bitin na message… nagmamadali kasi ako that time!

Story time 😅

Two years ago, nagha-heart to heart talk kami ng mother-in-law ko about sa mga problems namin. I was typing, “What’s impossible for people is not impossible with God… and sometimes we forget to—”

Tapos biglang umiyak si baby Finn, so napababa ako ng phone.

Ayun na… napansin siguro ni Gab yung phone 😭😂

After a while, nagulat na lang ako — nasend na yung unfinished message ko, tapos may dagdag pa siyang sarili niyang line: “Rockets to the milky way.” 🤣

Grabe from deep usapan to outer space real quick 😂

Hanggang ngayon natatawa pa rin ako. Kids really make everything unexpectedly funny 💛

Taiwan Family Travel Tips 🇹🇼👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
From Our Birthday Trip with Toddlers!

1️⃣ Hotels near MRT stations 🚇
Staying close to MRT stations makes moving around the city with kids much easier.

We stayed at Green World Zhonghua (Taipei) and Delton Hotel (Kaohsiung), both right across the MRT—but there are lots of other hotels near MRT stations too, so you have plenty of choices.

2️⃣ Consider proximity to main attractions 🏙️
Even if your hotel is near the MRT, check where most of your destinations are. Being closer to key attractions can save transportation time and fees, even if it costs a bit more.

Even though Delton Hotel was near MRT, most of our destinations were near Pier-2 Art Center. Staying closer would have saved transportation time and fees—even if the hotels near Pier 2 is slightly more expensive.

3️⃣ Check walking distance 📍
Use Google Maps walking view to see how long it takes to reach the MRT. Ideally, hotels should be 3–5 minutes from the station.

4️⃣ Research MRT stops & transfers 🗺️
Transfers can involve stairs, corridors, and waiting. Plan your route on Google Maps before heading out.

5️⃣ Check train & bus schedules 🚌
Google Maps shows arrival times, platforms, and stops—perfect for planning around toddlers’ schedules.

6️⃣ Book taxis easily 🚕
Uber works well, or taxis can be booked at 7-Eleven. Staff can help, but Google Translate makes communication much faster.

✅ Pro tip: Always get a Chinese address card for your hotel or look up your destination in Chinese for smoother taxi rides.

7️⃣ Hotels near convenience stores 🛒
7-Eleven or FamilyMart nearby = lifesaver for snacks, drinks, and small essentials.

8️⃣ Hotels with breakfast 🍳
Saves time in the morning—but don’t miss Taiwan’s amazing local food outside later!

9️⃣ Bring a portable water dipper 💦
In hotels without bidets, a small water dipper is essential for quick toddler clean-ups.

🔟 Essential travel apps 📱
✨ Google Translate – absolutely necessary for menus, signs, and conversations.
✨ Google Lens – snap a photo of text for instant translation.
✨ Google Maps – plan routes, check train, MRT/bus times, and navigate easily.

These tips helped our family enjoy Taiwan with toddlers, and we hope they help yours too! 💛

Celebrating birthdays in Taiwan came with surprises, laughter, and a few challenges, and while we would change some things, we are so grateful to God for the fun and memories! 🎂✈️

Thank you so much to everyone who greeted our kids on their birthday! We truly appreciate all the love and kind messages. ❤️

Our trip had its ups and downs. Gab got sick and Finn had a few challenging moments, but we are so grateful that everyone is feeling better now.

We also realized that many itineraries we saw online did not quite fit our family’s pace. We ended up removing a lot of places from our list and slowed things down. Instead of trying to see everything, we spent more time in places the kids truly enjoyed, especially the museums. They loved them so much that they wanted to stay in one museum for almost the whole day. Finn was especially adorable, always saying "Ni Hao" and "Xie Xie" to everyone we met. 🥰

It turned out to be one of the best decisions. The kids were curious, asking questions, and soaking in so much about the culture and history around them. Moments like these remind us how meaningful it is to learn together as a family and to follow the interests of our children.

This trip also taught us a lot about ourselves as parents. Sometimes the best memories come not from doing more, but from slowing down, being present, and enjoying the little moments together.

Sharing few photos from our Taiwan adventure.

Our first child.
The one who made me a mom.

Six years of laughter,
questions, learning,
and growing together.
In many ways,
we both grew up in those years.

You are such a smart boy
and a loving kuya
to your little brother.

Now I am blessed
to be a mom to both of you,
but you will always be
my first reason
for being called Mommy.

Happy 6th birthday, our dear Mijo. 🎂
Watching you grow has been one of the greatest joys of our life.

May your life always be guided with wisdom,
your heart remain gentle,
and your days filled with purpose.
May you grow to become what God wants you to be.

Always remember that Mommy and Daddy love you so much— but God loves you even more. 🙏💛

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Every day feels extra special because of our kids 🤍✨

Finn, you keep saying you’re not a baby anymore 🥹
But you still stick to us like glue.
Hugging us while we’re doing chores,
holding our shirts,
and giving random kisses like it’s the most normal thing in the world 😘

You love red ❤️
Red shirts, red toys, red anything.

And lately, you’ve been making your own songs 🎶
Not copying anyone, just singing your own little creations, and it’s the cutest thing.

We love watching you run, laugh, sing, and explore.
Even when you’re clingy or a little mischievous,
you fill our home with so much life.

Finn, you’re sweet, caring, curious, and so full of love.
You remind us to slow down, to laugh, and to enjoy the little moments.

Happy birthday, our little velcro boy 🎂🎉

We’re so proud of you and so grateful to be your Mommy and Daddy 🤍✨

May you always walk on God’s side.
May your heart stay kind and soft.
May you grow with courage and wisdom.
May you never lose your joy in singing and creating.
May you always feel safe, loved, and guided.
May you be a blessing to everyone around you.

And may you always know that no matter how big you become,
you will always have us cheering for you and praying for you every single day 🤍

Love,
Mommy & Daddy

Happy Hearts Day 🤍

No love story is perfect. Ours is not either. We have tired days and moments when we both need extra grace.

But one thing is true
“We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

The love in our home is not just feelings. It is a daily choice, grounded in the love God showed us first.

Thank You, Lord, for holding our marriage together. 💙

How Art Helped Our Kids Explore and Express
🎨🖍️✂️✨

Sharing a school year wrap of Gab and Finn’s ArtEx classes at Journeys of Faith. This is not about perfect artworks or finished projects but about what regular exposure to art can do for kids. 💛

Gab has always loved creating. Even before art classes, he enjoyed making songs 🎶 and stories 📖 and spending time with markers and paper 🖍️. Being in an art class did not change that. It widened his world. From sticking mostly to markers and paper, he is now excited to explore different kinds of arts and crafts ✂️🎨 and try new materials and mediums.

What makes our hearts extra happy as parents 💛?

Finn, at just 2 years old, also loves joining the classes 👶🎨. He enjoys creating alongside his kuya and even does his own little arts and crafts during his quiet time. No pressure, no expectations just pure exploration ✨.

This school year reminded us that art is more than an activity:
🎨 It helps kids express ideas and emotions.
🖐️ It builds confidence and curiosity.
🧠 It teaches focus and patience.
💛 It encourages kids to try without fear of mistakes.

If you are thinking of exposing your kids to art, this is your sign ✨ You do not need to wait for the right age or special talent. Sometimes all kids need is space materials and encouragement 🌱.

Grateful to God for this privilege that allows our kids to explore create and grow at their own pace 💙

Planting Seeds of Compassion 🌱

Lately, Gab keeps singing their new favorite song by Aviram, 'You Are What You Do' 🎶.

It plays in the background of our days and somehow the message settles in our hearts.

You’re not the things you say you’ll do,
You are what you do.

It reminds me of the compassion we all want to teach our kids. It is often planted by accident and grows through how we respond to it 🌱.

Not through long talks or planned lessons,
but through everyday moments children quietly notice.

🌱When they see us pause instead of react 🤍.

🌱When we choose understanding over judgment.

🌱When kindness shows up without being asked ✨.

These moments may feel small to us,
but they shape how children learn to care.

We may think we are teaching letters, numbers, and routines 📚.
Yet compassion grows from what children see us do.

These accidental moments of kindness are where compassion really takes root.
Kids don’t just remember what we say — they absorb what we do. 🌼

Little accidents of kindness today 🌼
Kinder humans tomorrow 💛

Enchanted Kingdom has always been special to me 🎢✨ As a kid, my brothers and I would come here to spend the money we earned from caroling 🎄 I even worked here for a long time, my first job, and it’s where my husband proposed 💍

Last year was extra special because my brothers and I were finally able to go together again after the pandemic 🎡 Our kids had their first theme park experience together, only missing one of their cousins ❤️.

The park now has new family-friendly spots, like cafes ☕ and restaurants 🍴, making it more easier to enjoy a full day with toddlers.

Finn loved the Boulderville Express 🚂, Gab couldn’t get enough of the Rock Quarry 🪨, and my personal favorite is always Rialto Theater 🎭.

I’m so excited to go back more often as my kids grow—they’ll enjoy even more rides, and I know that magic will stay forever ✨.

🚍✨ Lakbay Bulilit 2026: Exploring Our Community!

This February, our little explorers had a fun adventure all about our municipal community 💛

🌟 Highlights of the trip:
• Underground Cemetery and Museum ⛪ – learning about Nagcarlan Cemetery and Filipino culture around death. Gab loved reading and asking about the pictures and artifacts. Seeing old Filipinos’ boat-shaped structures with offerings and coffins sparked curiosity and imagination
• Municipal Hall 🏢 – seeing how local government works
• Fire Station 🚒 – the kids’ favorite! They even rode inside the fire truck and saw firefighters in their gear
• Police Station 👮‍♂️ – observing how they help keep our community safe
• Nagcarlan Hospital 🏥 – we couldn’t go inside, but just seeing the building and knowing its role was meaningful

👕 Career outfits fun:
• Gab in his orange astronaut suit 👨‍🚀
• Finn as a chef 👨‍🍳
• Eli as a contractor 👷‍♂️

✨ Learning is everywhere when community is involved ✨

A big thank you to the teacher of Banilad Daycare Center 🤍 and the whole Barangay Banilad for always welcoming us

🙏💛 Thank you Lord for this place where we live
