“Magkano ba talaga ang kailangan mo pag nagkasakit ka nang malala?”

Doctors on Threads agree: ₱1.5M to ₱5M minimum ang safe fund for critical illnesses like cancer, stroke, dialysis.

One story: 4 days in ICU = ₱2M bill. Out-of-pocket pa yung therapies after.
Another point: If it leads to disability, add the cost of a caregiver + loss of income. Mas mahal pa sa maintenance meds.

And here’s the truth most of us ignore when we’re young and healthy:
Hindi mo malalaman kung kelan, pero alam mo na magkano.

Yung 20-something ka ngayon na malakas, yan ang best time to get covered.

Health insurance with critical illness coverage ≠ HMO.
HMO = pang check-up, admission.

To the youth: Start early. Even ₱2k-₱5k/month can give you millions in coverage later.
Your future self will thank you for not making your savings and your family pay for something you could have insured.

Save this. Share it to a friend who says “batang-bata pa ako para dyan.”

Why Reading Your Policy Matters – A 1-Minute Story

A client called me wanting to cancel his 10-year, fully paid plan.
Reason? “Lugi ako.”

This happens a lot when the benefits and charges weren’t explained clearly from day one.

I walked him through what he’d lose if he terminated now: 10 years of built-up coverage and cash value, gone.
He decided to pause and think it over.

One month later, his wife called. Her husband needed a biopsy.
She asked: “May maclaim ba kami if ever?”

Yes. The policy had critical illness coverage.
The moment she knew that, her worry shifted. Instead of stressing about bills, they could focus on his recovery. Whatever the result, their savings and future plans were protected.

That’s the point of insurance.
It’s not an investment for guaranteed returns. It’s a safety net for the “what ifs” you can’t predict.

2 quick lessons:
For clients: Read your contract. Ask: What am I covered for? What are the charges? What’s excluded?
For agents: Explain it all upfront. No surprises = no regrets later.

Because the best time to understand your policy is before you need it.

Insurance protects the things you’ve worked hard for. Without it, life’s unexpected challenges could force you to liquidate your assets – and that’s a risk no one wants to take 😬.

I know people with millions in assets (way more than ₱4.1M 😅) who still chose to get insurance—not because they lack wealth, but because they understand how to protect it. They didn’t work that hard to build what they have now just to see it drained by unexpected expenses, nor do they want their legacy diminished when they pass it on to their dependents.
Insurance, at its core, is about preservation and intentional transfer of wealth.
But if you truly believe insurance is a waste of money or a scam, then it’s simple—don’t get one. Just liquidate what you have.

“SCAM NAMAN YANG INSURANCE!”

Alam mo yung parang subscription na hindi mo naman nagagamit.

Parang gym membership na binabayaran mo pero di mo napupuntahan.

So you start thinking:
“Sayang pera. Hinto ko nalang”
"Di na 'ko kukuha""

Same with insurance.

Walang balik.
Wala kang kikitain agad.
Monthly or yearly pa ang bayad.

So ang conclusion?
“Scam nga.”

But let’s be real for a second.

Kapag may naospital…
wala kang pwedeng sabihan ng:

“Pwede bang next month ko na bayaran?”

Life doesn’t offer:
• Installment
• 0% interest
• Pay later

Sisingilin ka kagad ng buo. Walang warning.

And that’s where everything changes.

Because insurance?Hindi siya investment.

It’s protection from a problem you can’t afford to face unprepared.

Kaya insurance feels useless… kasi wala pang nangyayari. And I know for sure, ayaw mong may mangyari...

Same way sa seatbelt, it feels useless… hangga’t hindi ka bumabangga.

The truth?

Insurance only feels expensive when nothing is happening.

But the moment life hits... it becomes the cheapest decision you ever made.

So no… insurance isn’t a scam.

The real scam is thinking you’ll always be okay.

Death is the only certainty in life, it comes with a 100% guarantee.

So the real question isn’t if it will happen, but whether you’ll be ready when it does.

Life insurance ensures that when the inevitable comes, your loved ones are protected, supported, and financially secure.

Planning ahead isn’t morbid.

It’s an act of love and responsibility.

Because certainty deserves preparation.

So, I had this client come in with her child, looking for answers about her husband's insurance. Apparently, they found a letter at home with the AXA logo, and they were hoping it was a policy they didn't know about 😊.

She asked me to check if her husband had any insurance with us, since he passed away. I asked for his name to check our system, but couldn't find anything. I even reached out to our agent in another branch, but still no luck. I ended up calling our Customer Service, and... turns out, there was no insurance policy 😔.

The letter they found was just a notification about company updates - something we send out when someone's been quoted and received a proposal via email. The family was pretty disappointed, but we can’t do anything since it’s already too late for the husband. 😪

That's why, best time to get insured is NOW 😊. We don't know what tomorrow brings. Let me help you.

Ang insurance ay dinisenyo para mag absorb ng malalaki, biglaan, o hindi inaasahang expenses katulad halimbawa ng medical emergencies, critical illness, disability, or death it don't usually drain finances slowly; they strike all at once, kapag nangyari un, yung savings mo no matter how diligently built can disappear in months, or even days. Kaya habang kaya pa magpaquote ka na para alam mo na how much yung need mong iset aside para sa insurance mo. 😊😊

Sabi ko nga I’m not selling insurance, I’m just explaining it. It’s up to you kung iconsider mo on the spot or pag-isipan mo muna dahil ang insurance ay commitment at ayaw ko na masayang yung sisimulan mo kung wala ka din lang balak tapusin. Wag kayong matakot magpadiscuss dahil marami kayong matututunan . 💙💙💙
