“There is always a better way” -Thomas Edison
I’m a graduate of Masters of Science in Engineering Education major in Industrial Engineering at Rizal Technological University and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering at New Era University. I love to teach!!! Since my College days I started teaching children as a volunteer in Summer Kinder Program and in Alternative Learning System or ALS. Although after college I worked as an Industrial Engineer in different companies where I learn a lot. However I want to pursue my passion in teaching. In 2006, I became a college instructor, fulfilling my dream as a teacher years passed by quickly. Everything went well, I got married to my best friend and gave birth to our first-born. In 2015, I got pregnant at age 34 my doctor advised me to stay home, therefore I cannot work. “No Work, No Pay ”, during those days I realized that me and my husband are not ready for uncertainties. another bad news came when my father got into a car accident, with no insurance, it’s emotionally and financially draining specially I have nothing to give because I don’t have work. In 2016, my Financial Advisor Karen who is also my best friend asked me if I want to part of Sun Life as financial advisor, I passed the exams and received my License as Financial Advisor. In the same year, I gave birth to my second child we are very happy but another sad news came, my mother was diagnose of lung cancer. In 2017, my mother passed away. Friends and family help us financially, but my parents has a lot of properties and we cannot cover estate taxes. The pain of losing my mother will never be erased, you just need to live with it. Now as a Full-time Financial Advisor of Sun Life, I never stop LEARNING and never stop TEACHING. . Before, I dedicate my time, knowledge and skills to TEACH, and it’s a VOCATION, but now as a Financial Advisor, I dedicate my time, knowledge and skills to help Filipinos be financially independent and meet their financial needs for their future, and it is now my ADVOCACY. “There is always a better way” our favorite saying as an IE. As a Financial Advisor I became a better teacher.
