Habang mas inaaral ko ang MP2 at dahil sa mas mataas nitong dividends, napaisip ako..

“Ano nga ba talaga ang purpose ng MP1?”

Dati, ang alam ko lang sa MP1 (Regular PAG-IBIG Savings) ay pang housing loan o mandatory deduction lang sa sahod. Palagi ko ding natatanong sa mga kasama ko pero hindi nila masagot ng maayos.

Pero in reality pala, ang MP1 ay hindi lang basta kaltas:
-iniipon siya under your name habang active member ka
-at may yearly dividends din.

Kailan mo ba pwedeng makuha ang MP1 savings?
-Retirement (with required contributions + retirement age)
-Permanent disability or incapacity
-Permanent migration abroad
-Critical illness (qualified cases)
-Death claims (for beneficiaries/heirs)
-Other approved withdrawal conditions per PAG-IBIG guidelines

⚠️ Note: May specific requirements per reason of claim, so important na updated ang records mo.

Usual requirements include:
• PAG-IBIG MID number
• Valid government IDs
• Claim forms
• Supporting documents depending on reason
(ex: medical records, retirement proof, migration documents, etc.)

Simple comparison:
MP1 = financial foundation (mandatory savings + protection)
MP2 = voluntary wealth booster (higher dividend potential)
