In our class, I gained valuable insights into butlery, the different types of butlers and the essential skills they must master.
One of the most impactful lessons was the art of the table—understanding the proper selection and arrangement of elegant tableware, cutlery, dinnerware, and glassware. Ms. Sanj V. Licaros delivered each topic with clarity and precision, ensuring we fully grasped the concepts.
She also welcomed our questions and recommendations, making the learning experience both engaging and practical. The hands-on demonstration with the team was particularly beneficial, reinforcing the correct techniques for serving during a meal.
While I had some prior dining experience from my TLE class, it was never in a professional setting like the one Ms. Sanj demonstrated.
This class opened my eyes to the finer details of service, especially when catering to VVIP clients such as politicians, artists, and renowned designers or architects.
The knowledge I acquired will be invaluable for our upcoming showroom events, allowing me to apply proper dining etiquette and service techniques to create a seamless and sophisticated experience for our guests. - JR
