I'm Janet — and if we're already connected here, you probably know me from one corner of my life. But there's usually more to the story.

For the past 17 years, I've been helping individuals and families protect what matters most — through life insurance, investments, and financial planning with Sun Life.

At the same time, I work with business owners and MSMEs who want to take better care of their teams — building employee benefit programs, retirement plans, and financial literacy programs through Purple Cow Group Healthcare, Keyman Benefits Consultancy, and Sun Life.

Spent the past week doing what BNI does best — building connections with purpose! 🤝

I had the pleasure of sitting down with fellow BNI Taguig Region members for a series of 121s — not just to reconnect, but with a very specific mission: scouting potential supplier-partners for TRITON Dragon Boat Racing Team's 2026 Partnership Program.
The concept is very BNI at its core: instead of traditional cash sponsorship, we connect businesses who want to support TRITON with the right suppliers from within our own chapters. Sponsors direct their support to these BNI members — generating TYFCB and real business for everyone involved, all while equipping our team for the 2026 season and our World Championship campaign in Taiwan this September. Connections are the lifeblood of growth, and last Wednesday I had the honor of bridging two of my worlds: the high-performance environment of BNI and the grit of the Triton Dragon Boat Racing Team. While most people think a 6:30 AM call time for a BNI meeting is early, it actually isn't since the Triton crew's training call time is 4:00 AM!

I’m a big believer in living our core values in every part of life, so I was thrilled to bring Triton Dragon Boat Racing Team’s President, Jean Louise Miranda, and Asst. Team Captain, Sandee Molato, to our chapter meeting this morning. It was the perfect bridge between two of my worlds.

The energy was great. We connected with members who are ready to try dragon boat as a sport and others looking into it for their corporate team building. We also started some exciting conversations with potential sponsors for the team and our CCWC crew.

It is incredibly rewarding to see these two communities intersect. We have already scheduled follow-up meetings to turn these initial introductions into solid, long-term partnerships. When we truly embody Giver’s Gain, we find that the best way to support each other is simply by opening the right doors. Whether we are holding a paddle or a business card, we row as one.

When "Giver’s Gain" becomes more than just a core value.

I recently had the pleasure of witnessing a beautiful example of abundance in business. A few weeks ago, Euni Ormita of DeepCleaners Cleaning, Disinfecting, & Pest Control visited our BNI chapter. Before inviting her, I reached out to Marianne Marquez of CondoCare PH for permission, as they are in the same industry.

Marianne’s response was the epitome of the BNI spirit: she was incredibly gracious, welcoming a "competitor" to experience our community firsthand.

The result? Euni was so inspired by the BNI energy that she has officially applied to join BNI Catalyst!

The backstory is even better. I originally hired Deep Cleaners for the post-construction deep cleaning and monthly maintenance of my home in Batangas. Their work was so exceptional that I knew I had to introduce the owner to BNI. Despite months of talking, Euni and I had never met in person—until last Maundy Thursday, when we randomly bumped into each other and her family in Tagaytay! As it turns out, her in-laws are my long-time friends and Sun Life colleagues.

This experience taught me that Giver’s Gain isn’t just about passing referrals; it’s about opening doors and believing there is enough room for everyone to succeed.
