Why I became a Financial Advisor ✨

One Thing We Wish We Started Earlier

At first, feeling namin fair siya.

But eventually, we realized na hindi pala siya fair in practice.

Why?

On paper, equal siya.

Pero para sa kumikita ng ₱30,000, that’s already 16% of their income. Para naman sa kumikita ng ₱60,000, nasa 8% lang.

Same amount. Different impact.

That’s why we eventually decided to combine our income.

For us, mas naging madali ang pag-budget, pag-prioritize ng bills, at pag-manage ng wants and needs.

One of the biggest money lessons we've learned as a couple is that financial decisions become easier when you're working towards the same goals. ❤️

Here are 3 things that have helped us:

1️⃣ Before making a big purchase, we ask ourselves:
"Will this still give us value years from now?"

It's easy to get excited about buying something today. But we've learned that not everything that makes us happy now will help us reach our goals later.

2️⃣ Build an emergency fund as a couple.

Not just enough for one person, but enough to protect both of you.

Life can be unpredictable. Having 3 to 6 months' worth of expenses saved gives us peace of mind knowing we're better prepared for unexpected situations.

3️⃣ Get insured together.

This was one of the best financial decisions we made.

We work hard for our future, so it only makes sense to protect it too. Insurance helps us worry less about the "what ifs" and focus more on the life we're building together.

We're still learning every day, but these are lessons we're grateful we started early.

How about you? What's the biggest money lesson you've learned as a couple? 👇

Random question.

When you and your partner talk about the future, ano yung lagi ninyong napag-uusapan?

A dream house?
More travels?
Starting a business?
Growing your family?

And honestly, I love these conversations.

Because behind every goal is a couple choosing to build something together, one step at a time.

Kayo, what's a dream you're currently working on as a couple? 👇

One night, may tinanong ako sa partner ko.

"Mal, what if mawalan ako ng work for months? Ano kaya mangyayari sa atin?"
Sagot niya: "Baka magbabago lifestyle natin. Maglilipat ng bahay. Titipirin natin lahat."

And that hit different.

Nakatira kami sa Metro Manila. Mataas ang bilihin. Mataas ang cost of living. If ang monthly expenses ko ay ₱25,000.
3 months without income = ₱75,000 na kailangan naming harapin if wala kaming emergency fund.

Tapos naisip ko pa...
What if hindi lang job loss?
What if critical illness pa?

Hindi na lang lifestyle ang magbabago. Kundi yung gamot, hospitalization, recovery. Lahat ng ‘yon on top of everything else.

💙 For Him: ₱130/day
🩷 For Her: ₱120/day

Hindi dahil may sakit.
Hindi dahil may emergency.

Kundi dahil may future silang gustong protektahan habang maaga.

Minsan, ang pinakamagandang regalo sa taong mahal mo isn’t something you buy.

It’s knowing that you’re both preparing for the future together.

If you’re building a future with someone, baka magandang pag-usapan niyo rin ito.

Message me with “COUPLE” and I’ll share a sample plan based on your age. 🧡
