Seven years ago, I shared with my client the importance of having life insurance, especially as a mother.
I asked her, “Who among your family or friends would be willing and able to give you ₱1 million if a life crisis suddenly hits?”
She replied, “Meron naman siguro, pero hindi ₱1M.”
I then asked, “Maniniwala ka ba kung sasabihin ko s’yo na kaya ka bigyan ni PRU LIFE UK nito by signing up today?”
I explained how life insurance is not just an expense—it is protection for the people we love most.
Barely a year after she started paying her monthly premiums, she became seriously ill. Sadly, her illness eventually led to her passing.
The claims process was not easy. Since her policy was still within the 2-year contestability period, there were many challenges along the way. As her agent, I experienced both highs and lows, but I never gave up. After months of waiting, follow-ups, and prayers, I finally received the email that her death claim had been approved.
There was just one bittersweet reality: her beneficiary was her child, who would have to wait until turning 18 before receiving the legacy his mother had left behind.
Fast forward to today.
He just turned 18, and the insurance proceeds have finally been credited to his account.
Ma’am D, even though you are no longer here, your love continues to provide for your child. 🤍
