Regular savings may not cut through rising inflation

Soon we'll see food become more expensive than they were before.

July’s headline inflation hit 4.4%, above the 4.1% consensus estimate and June’s 3.7%, but within BSP’s 4.0%-4.8% projection.

Core inflation fell to 2.9% from 3.1% in June.

Higher prices of electricity, LPG, gas & diesel, meat, and fruits drove inflation.
