Some decisions are not easyโ€”especially when they mean adding another expense to the family budget. But when it comes to securing a childโ€™s future, a parent will always find a way.

After my talk at Brgy. Poblacion 1, I was truly touched when I visited again and learned that one of the councilors still remembered our conversation. This time, he took the step of signing up, and we are now simply waiting for the funds he has been expecting before we proceed with his plan for his child.

What moved me most was his reason: he wants to give his child a better and more secure future.

It may not always be easy to add another financial commitment, but sometimes, the greatest expression of love is choosing to prepare today for the possibilities of tomorrow.

Beyond Numbers:
The Value of a Reading Habit

Winning a client's trust is never easy. As a Financial Advisor, I have learned that technical expertise alone is not enough; we must be able to relate, to listen, and to provide advice grounded in real-life wisdom.

I used to be an avid reader, a habit I slowly replaced with Netflix and series late at night. Recently, I intentionally went back to reading, and it has been more relaxing, more refreshing before sleep.

Currently reading John C. Maxwell's "Think on These Things: Meditations for Leaders." Two chapters resonated with me deeply as an advisor:
"
19. Your Decisions Determine Your Destiny" and "20. Plan Ahead."

This is exactly what financial planning is about. Every financial decision we make today shapes our future, and planning ahead is not an option โ€” it is a necessity.

A refreshed mind allows me to give clearer, more empathetic advice. Because at the end of the day, we don't just plan finances, we plan for life.

Finally, after so many years, one of my college classmates decided to get insured.

As we talked, she realized that she is no longer as young as she used to be, and with three children depending on her, she began thinking seriously about their future.
