Marriage is truly a blessing from the Lord.
It’s not just two hearts coming together, but two very different and imperfect people learning to walk together under God’s purpose.
One thing God has been teaching me is that we can’t rely purely on each other’s strength to keep a marriage strong and harmonious.
No matter how much love we have for each other, our own strength will sometimes fall short.
That’s why I’m learning that having God at the center isn’t just about praying together or going to church together.
It’s about allowing Him to shape the way we love, forgive, communicate, and choose each other every day.
For us, marriage isn’t about keeping score of who gives more.
It’s about both choosing to give their best—100/100.
As someone with a strong and dominant personality, God has also been teaching me a lot about my role as a husband.
I’m learning that leadership doesn’t mean having all the control and answers.
For me, loving and leading my wife means listening, considering her thoughts, making decisions together, and sometimes having the humility to say,
“Okay, you’re right.” 😅
I’m also learning to respect wifey’s POVs for me.
Like she can always share her thoughts.
She can make suggestions.
She can disagree.
And I’m grateful because wifey also carries her part with love like loving me unconditionally, supporting me with respect, and choosing to grow with me in faith.
We’re far from perfect.
We have our moments.
We misunderstand each other.
We make mistakes.
Sometimes, we fail each other.
But perhaps that’s also where God’s grace becomes most visible.
Because when God remains at the center, He teaches us to turn weaknesses into strength, conflicts into growth, and ordinary seasons into testimonies.
Our marriage is still a work in progress.
And maybe that’s the beautiful part.
We don’t have a perfect marriage.
We’re simply two imperfect people choosing God, choosing each other, and choosing to grow together. ❤️
