𝐀 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐀 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 ✨

Last March 14, 2026, the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) National Multi-Purpose Cooperative (NMPC) Youth Sector – MSU-IIT Chapter convened at Center for General Education of MSU-IIT (CGEM) Hall 1 for its Second General Assembly—an event that stood not just as a meeting, but as a testament to two years of dedication, growth, and collective impact.

The assembly highlighted the chapter’s accomplishment report, reflecting the milestones achieved through unwavering commitment and shared vision. This was complemented by a transparent presentation of the financial report, reinforcing accountability and trust within the organization. Looking ahead, the chapter also laid out its development plans, setting a clear direction for a future driven by innovation and service.

Adding depth to the event was our resource speaker, Ms. Cherry Ann Adoyo, LPT, who inspired participants through her talk on “YOUth in Cooperative.” Her insights reignited the role of the youth as active partners in nation-building through cooperative engagement.

The day was further energized with interactive games that fostered camaraderie and concluded with an exciting raffle, leaving members not only informed but connected and empowered.

A significant highlight of the assembly was the election of new officers, marking a new chapter of leadership entrusted to carry forward the organization’s mission with renewed energy and vision.

More than anything, this assembly reminded us that progress is not measured solely by achievements, but by the people who continue to believe, participate, and move forward together.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗜𝗜𝗧 𝗡𝗠𝗣𝗖 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗢𝗢 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Creativity met service as student organizations gathered at the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH) for the MSU-IIT Council of Organizations (COO) Second Semester Organization Fair last February 24–27, 2026. Among the participating groups, the MSU-IIT NMPC Youth Cooperative – MSU-IIT Chapter showcased its vibrant display of achievements and interactive activities in line with this year’s theme, “𝘈𝘯𝘪 𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨: 𝘓𝘪𝘬𝘩𝘢 𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘯, 𝘎𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘰𝘥.”

Through engaging booth activities such as Draw Your Face, Don’t Touch the Colors, and Membership Recruitment, the organization highlighted not only creativity but also its commitment to cooperation and meaningful service.

The booth also featured photos and milestones that reflect the cooperative’s dedication to empowering students and strengthening the spirit of collaboration within the MSU-IIT community.

We are proud to introduce 𝐇𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐆𝐖𝐀𝐘, a youth-led cooperative enterprise in the creative and cultural industries, focused on souvenir production and cultural tourism. More than handcrafted pieces, every output is a cultural expression inspired by identity, heritage, and community.

In partnership with MSU IIT NMPC Youth Cooperative - MSU IIT Chapter and Espasyo Creative Hub, HULAGWAY also serves a bigger purpose: empowering Indigenous Peoples youth through skills-building, livelihood opportunities, and meaningful participation in creative work that honors who we are. Aligned with the MSU-IIT NMPC’s commitment to economic, social, and cultural development, HULAGWAY stands for self-help, mutual aid, and cultural preservation, proving that sustainable development in Mindanao can be both creative and community-centered.

For phase one of the program, we will conduct a series of workshops to train students how to create handicrafts that they can use to start their own business. 𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐏 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 who are interested and can commit to the initiative.
