Reflecting on my childhood, I recall how my father worked tirelessly at three jobs to ensure we could pursue our education, while my mother ran our small sari-sari store to help cover our daily expenses.

We only purchased clothes that were necessary, often wearing hand-me-downs (pinagliitan o pinaglumaan) from our aunts and cousins.
During my college years, my weekly allowance was just 500 pesos, which instilled in me a strong sense of thriftiness.
For a long time, I believed I was simply ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฅ๐ง๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ก. While many praised this quality, it felt different when it was ๐ง๐ค๐ค๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ฃ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐จ๐ช๐ง๐ซ๐๐ซ๐.
Growing up in ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ก๐ก๐ฎ ๐ช๐ฃ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ค๐ฃ๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ affected my self-esteem. I often felt ๐๐ฃ๐ญ๐๐ค๐ช๐จ about making even the ๐จ๐ข๐๐ก๐ก๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐๐จ๐๐ค๐ฃ, especially when I began working in the city.
I often felt out of place when my colleagues and I visited fancy restaurants or when they buying stylish clothing. I also hesitated to pursue hobbies that required spending money.
For a long time, my ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ก ๐จ๐ฉ๐ง๐ช๐๐๐ก๐๐จ made it ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ช๐ก๐ฉ for me to ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ค๐ฅ ๐ ๐จ๐ค๐ก๐๐ ๐จ๐๐ฃ๐จ๐ ๐ค๐ ๐จ๐๐ก๐.
Eventually, I discovered the importance of ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฎ. I now realize that individuals who have gone through financial hardships often exhibit avoidant behaviors.
Gaining financial knowledge empowers me to ๐๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ง๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ my financial situations, fosters ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ and establish a ๐๐๐๐ก๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ง ๐ง๐๐ก๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐ฅ with money.
