Exactly — 9 years today since the CMTA was signed.

The CMTA — Customs Modernization and Tariff Act — is the law that governs customs procedures in the Philippines. Signed into law as Republic Act No. 10863 by then-President Benigno S. Aquino III on May 30, 2016, it updates the former Tariff and Customs Code to align with international standards, particularly the Revised Kyoto Convention of the World Customs Organization (WCO). It officially took effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation, in line with standard legislative procedures in the Philippines.

DST Customs Brokerage joins the Christian faithful in the solemn observance of Holy Week. As we reflect on the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, may this sacred season bring spiritual renewal, compassion, and peace to all.

In line with this observance, our office will be closed for all business transactions on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, April 17 and 18, 2025. Operations will resume on Monday, April 21, 2025.
