The Mambajao Multipurpose Cooperative in partnership with CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative and in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural resources, conducted a Mangrove Tree Planting and “Plant a Seed” Initiative at Cantaan, Guinsiliban, Camiguin.

Together with our dedicated MMC members, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Team headed by SJ04 Nathaniel A. Ajon; Barangay Cantaan Captain headed by Hon. Robinson L. Jadman; OIC Municipal Fire Marshal Team headed by SFO4 Wilbert Y. Cadeliña, and Station Commander, CGS Camiguin, Philippine Coast Guard Team headed by LTJG Jay-R Bryan L. Peniones, PCG, we successfully planted 2,000 total of mangrove seeds as a meaningful step toward protecting our coastal environment and nurturing a greener and more sustainable community.

Our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the Chief Executive Officer of Mambajao Multipurpose Cooperative, Ms. Cora Nimfa G. Vivar, for her support of this meaningful environmental initiative, and to the dedicated personnel of the Coop Assurance Center for their collaboration.

A special thank you to Mr. Artemio Jr. M. Maglunsod, OIC DENR Officer, for generously sharing his knowledge and patiently guiding us on the proper way of planting and caring for mangroves. Your guidance made this activity not only meaningful but also educational for everyone involved.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to all our partner agencies, participating members, volunteers, and everyone who shared their time, effort, and support in making this initiative a success.

Dakol tood na salamat sa inyong tanan! 💚

This initiative reminds us that every seed planted today is a promise for a better tomorrow. May these mangroves grow alongside our commitment to protect our environment and build a stronger, greener, and more sustainable community. 🌱🌊
