A whopping 8.7% inflation rate in the Phillippines from January 2022 to January 2023. From 3% up to 8.7% real quick in just a very small span of time. Take note, it rises up to 6% or shall i say a triple increase in just a year! (Source from Philippine Statistics Authority web page and rappler).
What does this mean? Actually there are good and bad effects.
Good thing is that inflation is generally good for equities (which i know ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐๐น๐ถ๐ณ๐ฒ ๐๐ธ is good at) because it tends to be associated with positive economic growth, rising profits, and stock price gains compared to the fixed interest bonds. Advantage to my clients who already invested in

Bad thing is that, it greatly affects the purchasing power of people, thus, decreasing the value of their money over time.
