Tips in Managing your Family Income:
1. Set your goals (and set a deadline for your goals).
Ask yourself. Ano o paano ang gusto kong maging buhay o ng pamilya ko after 5 years? 10 years or 15 years? Some people use photos to remind ang mga sarili nila about their goals and some write it on their notebooks.
2. Budget.
List how much you earn then list down your expenses. Like, how much do you need to pay for your rent, electricity, internet, foods, groceries, etc. There should be a list to all of these para alam natin kung ano yung mga importanteng bagay na kailangan natin unahin bayaran. Expenses trackers are also helpful.
3. Cut down on Expenses.
We still need to be aware of our expenses. If we can cut down our expenses, mas malaki ang maitutulong nito sa pagsa-save natin.
4. Learn to live within your means.
Spend less than you earn.
5. Spend money wisely.
Separate your needs from your wants. How do we differentiate it? Needs are the things that we MUST have. Wants are the things that we like but we can live WITHOUT. So, dapat we must make sure na we take care of our needs first.
6. Earn Extra Income.
If we want to save more, thereβs nothing wrong sa pag-earn ng extra income. If you have skills, you can use it para mag-earn ng extra tulad ng baking, cooking, stitching, etc.
7. Look for discounts.
Para makatipid dapat wais (wise). Go after sa mga discounts or sale.
8. Save
What we usually do (my husband and I), once na na-receive na namin ang salary namin, we deduct 10% from it. We will deposit his 10% sa account niya and my 10% sa account ko. Para pag may gusto siya bilihin halimbawa as his gift for himself, may makukuhanan sya and ganun din sa akin.
9. Insurace
Get Insurance for each member of the family The younger you are, the cheaper it is. Protection is better than cure. Protect your family in sickness, disability and death. Insurace will work as your income protection
10. Invest
Itβs also good to invest. Either sa bank, property or stocks. Find someone na matutulungan kayo about this. One, is again, si Mr. Chinkee Tan. You can also read some books about investment para may idea and hindi lang natutulog ang pera sa bangko.
11. Tithes.
Lastly, the most important is tithing. What are tithes? It is the tenth part of agricultural produce or personal income set apart as an offering to God or for works of mercy, or the same amount regarded as an obligation or tax for the support of the church, priesthood, or the like. Ito yung 10% ng salary mo na ibibigay mo kay Lord through the Church for the growth of His Kingdom. I certainly believe that this is an important thing to do kasi unless we honour God, God will not honour us. Maliit na bagay lang ang hinihingi Niya and we should realize na if itβs not because of Him, wala din tayong trabaho or anything because everything we have belongs to Him. π
